Chapter 27

I was busy in talking to a woman when I felt a pat on my shoulder. I turned around to see who it is. My mood suddenly changed when I saw one and only Ashley Walker.

"Will you excuse us"? Ashley said to the woman who nodded and went.

"Hello." I said politely. No matter how much I dislike her but still I can't talk to her rudely.

"So you are Jamie Miller's daughter. That's why you got the guts to misbehave with me". She said with full of bad attitude. I don't know what's the problem with this woman. I think she doesn't know the meaning of good manners.

"You were the cause of it". I said with an equally annoyed look which she is giving me now.

"Apologise for it. No one treats me like that". She said slightly raising her voice. I am damn sure she got everyone's attention now.

"I will not Apologise as it was your mistake. You were the one who bumped into me". I said looking directly into her eyes. I heard snickering from behind. I turned and saw Ryan, Sophie, Michael and Isabelle are trying to hold their laughter.

"Let's give them a reason to laugh". Ashley said with a smirk as she threw her drink at my dress. I heard gasp around me.

"What the hell"? I said angrily. Caleb came furiously in our direction.

"Are you Okay Emily"? He asked with concern.

I just nodded looking down. How can she humiliated me in front of everyone.

"What the fuck is wrong with you Ashley! Apologise to her". Caleb said in an angry tone.

"Caleb why should I apologise. You dont know what she did." Ashley said to Caleb.

"I know everything. I saw the video in which how you bumped into her and spoiled her blazer. And talked rudely to her". Caleb said.

"But Caleb...." she again started but got interrupted as Caleb Yelled angrily "Apologise. Now."

I too got flinched at his voice. He is scary when he is angry.

"I am sorry". Ashley said and stormed out.

Everyone was now looking at me. I can't stand to see their reactions. "Excuse me" I said in a low voice and went outside. I know they are calling me but i didn't stop as I ran out. I started walking alone when I felt someone putting a coat on my shoulders. I got startled.

"Relax Angel". Its me". Caleb said as he took my hand.

"It was so humiliating". I said as tears started running down my face.

"It was not your fault. Don't think about it. Ashley never misses a chance to pull such acts". Caleb said wiping my tears. I didn't said a word.

"Let's get you home". Caleb said as we both went towards his car. I was silent for the whole ride because I was upset. Ashley ruined my party. We were going to tell about our relationship to our families. She spoiled my whole night. Soon we reached home. Me and Caleb entered inside.

"Angel. Please say something". Caleb said.

"She spoiled everything". I said looking at him. Caleb came towards me and hold my face in his hands.

"Don't let her stupid attitude to spoil your mood baby. You know I don't like it when you are upset". He said stroking my cheeks with his fingers. I stared at his beautiful eyes and nodded at him with a smile. He smiled back and claimed my lips. We were busy in kissing when we heard someone clearing their throat. We both got shocked when we saw our families looking at us with equal shocking expressions.

"Umm... what was that"? Sophie asked gesturing at us.

" It was a kiss soph". Ryan said smirking at Caleb.

"We know what it is. What she meant is why they were kissing"?  Isabelle said to Ryan.

"Will you guys explain". Michael said.

"Well... Dad, Mom and Michael. Meet my boyfriend Caleb". I said gesturing towards Caleb.

"What"! They all said.

"Caleb"? Aunt Olivia asked with a questioning gaze.

"It's True mom. Emily is my girlfriend". Caleb said as he wrapped his arm around my waist.

"But yesterday you said nothing when I told you about dating someone". Mom asked me.

"We decided to tell you guys at the party". I said with a sad smile.

"Oh my baby. I am so happy for both of you". Mom said as she hugged me and Caleb.

"Me too. Finally, caleb got a girlfriend". Aunt Olivia said as she did the same. Everyone got settled down in the living room as I went upstairs to change my dress. After taking a quick shower and wearing something comfortable I went down.

"Oh. So that's why she behaved like that". I heard mom as I approached them. I think they told them why Ashley did that.

"I hate that girl. Full of ego". Aunt Olivia said making a bad expression.

I sat beside Caleb who just smiled looking at me.

"Woah! What am I seeing? Caleb smiling". Uncle Adam teased.

"Come on dad. You are saying as if I never smiled before". Caleb said rolling his eyes.

"Well Son. You smile very rarely". Uncle Adam just shrugged.

"That's enough Adam. I want to know when they started dating"? Aunt Olivia said.

"We started dating when we were in Italy". Caleb said holding my hand.

"Italy? And you hide it from us". Michael asked.

"No. We just shared our feelings towards each other when we were in Italy. We made it official in New York". I said which is true.

"Let me guess. You guys confessed to each other the day we went to shopping right?" Ryan asked.

"Yes. How do you know "? Caleb replied to him.

"I am your best friend Caleb. I noticed how you got jealous of Emily's friend Joseph. To be honest I was observing you since the day you guys find out that you are childhood best friends". Ryan smirked at Caleb completing his sentence.

"Caleb was jealous. I wish I could see that". Isabelle said pouting like a child.

"That reminds me. Why were you dancing with Nate. I left him with you so that no other man could approach you". Caleb said narrowing his eyes at me.

"You were busy with Ashley so I danced with him". I said to him.

"Emily you danced with his secretary just to piss him off". Sophie asked with amused expression. I just giggled.

"You are such a tease Em". Isabelle said laughing at me.

"Don't you dare to fire him or behave rudely with him. He didn't agreed to dance with me. I dragged him forcefully". I said pointing my finger at Caleb. He just nodded.

"They are so cute". Isabelle said grinning at us. I just blushed at her comment.

"Caleb son. To me you are just like Michael but I still warn you as you are dating my princess. Don't break her heart".Dad said for the first time.

"Then I will break your bones". Michael said in a stern voice.

"Michael!"  Mom warned him.

"What mom! He is dating my kiddo". Michael said seriously.

"You don't need to worry Michael and Uncle Jamie I will never break her heart. I promise". Caleb said smiling at them.

I looked at him with my eyes full of love. I am thankful to God that I found him back.
