Lisa POV

I grinned as he struggled against me, his body wildly thrashing around as he tried to free himself from my drowning.

"Let him up." Dara said and I yanked him back, grinning at his coughs and gasps for air. "Eun Woo, right? Well, it didn't take my witches long to find some leverage on you. Answer our question and we'll let your girlfriend live."

"Please. She's innocent. Doesn't know a thing." He coughed out and I shrugged. Jennie held the human girl by the back of her neck as they came into the room.

"You know what to do." Dara smirked as she left us.

"Sowon! Lisa don't you dare!" I ignored him as I stalked towards the shaking girl, grabbing her arm and leading her to the chair in front of him. "FINE. The company I work at, NCT, they're hiding their supernatural researches as acting like scientists for the public. Please, that's really all I know."

"Then why is she thinking of different species." I could hear his heart beating faster, he's lying about something. "Tell me what else your company is planning or so help me, I'll snap her little neck like a twig. I know you're lying."

"B-But you care about humans! I've seen it! She's human and you don't hurt them."

This asshole thought comparing my brother to this stranger was enough. I don't care for humans anymore, certainly not the ones that hunt us. I cared for one human... now he's gone. And so is that Lisa.

"Should've answered." I gripped Sowon's neck, flicking my wrist sharply and a loud SNAP! echoed through the room. Her body slumped to the floor and I sat in the now empty chair. "Next it'll be your neck. I've already broken your wrists and ankles, a neck is just as easy."

"You want to talk to me about lying." He chuckled sarcastically and I rose an eyebrow at him. "This whole campus has been lying to you. Even to your precious Jennie. Who was literally made for you."

"What are you talking about." Jennie snapped as she walked over to my side.

"Your precious headmistress would never admit this, but I will. I've tried using vampire blood to turn humans, never once did they make it. But you, you're turned. That's because your human parents weren't yours. Jennie knew you as a human. They erased you from her because she wasn't meant to find you before you turn-"

Before he could finish, his heart exploded out of his chest and I looked back to see an upset Dara.

"Was he telling the truth?" I snapped at Dara, who was now rubbing her temple. "Tell me right now!"

"Yes! Jennie's fate is bound to yours! Lalisa, the story of you is far too complicated to explain so early into your start here. But Jennie, she's meant to find you. Every time."

"So nothing we feel... is real?" Jennie asked, heartbreak in her eyes and I could feel my own heart shattering. "I was made for her?"

"No. And Jennie, you're older, if anything Lalisa was made for you, but that's not what happened. An evil elder witch hated your parents and cursed you. You were a turned succubus, especially since your whole family are pure witches. Nature couldn't have one forced offspring so they made another, Lalisa. Your fates are bound to always find each other, but your hearts are your own."

"He said my human parents weren't my birth parents. Did my real parents kill them?"

"Jennie. I need to speak to Lalisa alone."

"I'm not-"

"Babe." I cut Jennie off gently. "I'll be fine." I gave her a convincing smile and she gave me a kiss before leaving the room. "Explain now."

"I'm your aunt."

My eyes widened and she gave me a soft smile. "I told you before my siblings and I were the first of few supernaturals. This was centuries ago. My brother was forced to marry a different vampire, but he was never in love with her. She had a best friend, a witch, who hated him. Jennie's parents were also arranged, so after centuries, they found people they loved for their own."

"Jennie's father fell for another witch, who was new to the school but at the time, they weren't students but professors. Her mother was pregnant but once Jennie's fathers wife found out, she forced that same witch to curse the unborn child, Jennie."

Dara handed me a picture of a baby Jennie, being held by her parents. "She cursed the daughter to be 'just like the mother. A succubus. A witch that steals taken men' so that's why Jennie is the only succubus in her family. She wasn't born to be one, but cursed."

I felt anger and pain for my Jennie. She always felt different and she never knew why. "I won't keep this from her and lie to her."

"We won't have to anymore. Now that you both know the truth. Remember when I told you there was only one turned vampire before you? That's because she was your mother."

"I don't care about them. They chose not-"

"Lalisa they wanted you more than anything." Dara scolded me and I froze. "Your father fell for a human, forbidden at the time since what happened with Jennie shocked us too greatly. Turned supernaturals are against nature's laws. But my brother came to me, begging me to see Chittip for who she was as a person. She became a sister to me. But not long after, she became pregnant with you, and my brothers wife was angry."

"She had her witch bitch of a friend curse me, I'm assuming."

"No. They tried to kill you. Vampires are ruthless with no souls, harming a baby was practically a midnight snack for them. But Chittip and Chittaphon, Ten, were ready. Even though it broke their hearts, they came to me for help. Look into my mind."

"

"Please, Dara. Please save our baby." Chittip begged and Dara looked conflicted. "I'm so close to giving birth in a few weeks but we won't make it. You have to send her away to someone else. Please, a different country. Thailand."

"Thailand?"

"My friend Sorn has been struggling to have a child of her own. Keep me hidden there and I'll give birth to my daughter. I'll give her to Sorn and never look back as long as that means she's safe."

"I can hide you both for two weeks at most. But you'll have to leave tonight and once she's given, you can't go back."

"The heartbreak in her eyes when she came back, shocked me, but not as much as how she came back a vampire. It never happened before, but you being a half vampire baby made her body transform slowly through the pregnancy."

"So what? They're just hiding now?" I frowned, now seeing how much I looked my birth mother. She was beautiful. "They wanted me?"

"More than anything. But when they returned with no baby, the witch, Bae Suzy, wanted to hunt you. I forced a sleeping spell on her but it needed to be linked to something powerful. And what more is powerful than an elder and turned vampire? So when I told you my brother had been asleep since 1923, that was the year after you were born."

I didn't know how to take this information. I was angry at Dara for hiding this for me. Angry for Jennie and for my parents. Then realization hit me.

"That vampire that was married to my father... she was the one that killed my parents, wasn't she?"

Dara nodded and now I had a mission. I had a vampire to track now and kill.
