Lisa POV

"Thanks for meeting me here. I know you're uncomfortable." I apologized to Jackson, who took a seat across from me. I didn't want to have a conversation with him on campus, so I asked him to meet me at a coffee shop in town.

Werewolves hated being out in public, since they're meant to be in nature, but I couldn't risk anyone at the academy finding out about me. Or assuming something was going on with Jackson and I.

"It's fine. Anywhere you need me, I'll be there."

"And speaking of, we need to set some ground rules. I'm not going to deny you being my protector, but I refuse to have a 24/7 bodyguard. I have Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé with me, I'll be fine. Not to mention, I'm stronger than you."

"I know and I'm sorry too. It's not that I don't think you can defend yourself, it's just my nature screaming at me to always be by you and make sure nothing happens. But you're right, you deserve privacy."

"Here." I handed him a necklace I had Jisoo make with her magic. "It's made from magic. If I'm ever in danger and need help, all I have to do is hold it and you'll know I'm in trouble. Not to mention, phones are a thing now."

He grinned at me as he slid it on. I couldn't resist and I smirked at him, "My collar looks cute."

"I hate you." He rolled his eyes and I stood my hand out.

"Promise?"

"I promise." We shook hands and he asked if I needed a ride home, which I declined. I wanted to stay and walk around the town square for a bit since I didn't have classes today. He left, though I can tell he really didn't want to, but I'm sure the necklace was extra reassuring to him.

I bought some clothes from a few shops, but I couldn't shake this feeling that I was being watched. I turned around to scan the block, but I couldn't see anyone's thoughts about me. I shrugged it off and walked over to Rosé's car, thankfully she let me borrow it.

I was putting the key in when I felt someone behind me and I tensed. I could feel an arm reach out so I quickly gripped the wrist and slammed whoever it was into the hood of the car.

"Fuck!" I glared at Mark, Jackson's pack mate. "You almost dislocated my arm, Lalisa!"

"What the hell are you doing! Why are fol- Jackson made you." I growled, watching his face pale in fear. "Get in the car."

"Wait. Jackson didn't make me do this." I rose an eyebrow at him. "Headmistress Park did. She said she wanted to see how well your ability was to recognize when you're being followed so I stayed out of sight whenever you turned around. I went to tap your shoulder before you left but obviously that didn't work out."

"This test was stupid." I shrugged and got in the car. "Come on, before I make your four legged ass run back to the school." He sent me a grateful smile and got in the passenger seat.

We drove in silence, neither one of us knowing each other enough to strike up a conversation but I didn't mind the silence. We got to the school and he thanked me for the ride as we got off the car.

"My baby!" I turned and saw Rosé run to the car in happiness as she hugged the side mirror, causing me to roll my eyes at her.

"Thanks." I handed her the keys and she linked our arms, but I missed Jennie. "Where are they?"

"Went to the spa earlier, but they should be coming back by now. I need to ask a favor." I turned to her and she sighed, looking around before tapping her head.

I want to surprise Jisoo with a weekend trip to Jeju, but she'll figure it out if I plan it. Think you can? I'll provide everything but I can't know before her. She'll use magic.

"I got this." I grinned in excitement and she squealed, hugging me. "But let's go, I'm starving." She nodded and we left to the Nights Tavern so I could grab some blood. Rosé winced at the blood everyone was drinking and held onto my arm as I sipped my warm blood.

"Better?" She playfully grinned as I practically drained the bag. I nodded and tossed it, finding us a booth to sit in. I knew Jennie wouldn't think to come to this place so we had time to talk about some plans.

"I just want a weekend trip, but try and fit some fun activities in there for us please." I nodded and she handed me her card so I could purchase whatever on there.

"Oh look. They killed Bambi." She sighed and though she meant the deer the wolves brought into the tavern, my thoughts immediately went to my brother. I bit my lip, fiddling my fingers in my lap to focus on something else.

"Oh shit. I'm so sorry, Lisa. I didn't mean to make you upset." She whined as she threw her arms around me. "Please don't cry. Because if you cry, Jennie will kill me."

I smiled slightly at her, "It's fine. I just... miss him so much. I hate that he gave me a lifetime of memories and yet, I have eternity of them being just memories." I felt tears welling up, but I refused to cry in public.

"Let's go back to the dorms." She pulled me along with her as we left the booth. Some vampires have Rosé dirty looks and I glared back at them. We made it to our room and laid on my bed to watch Netflix on my laptop.

"I can't believe I let you talk me into watching this." I grumbled as she grinned at the Grinch movie. "It's not even Christmas time! It's summer!"

"Quit being a Grinch, Lisa." She squealed as I pinched her side, but I could hear footsteps running to the door. I grinned as I flew to the doorway, opening it to see a smiling Jennie and Jisoo.

"Unnie! Baby!" I threw my arms around Jennie's neck and gave him a long kiss. Jennie grinned into the kiss, but Jisoo ruined the moment by fake gagging.

"Quit being a Grinch, babe!" Rosé shouted at Jisoo who rose an eyebrow at me in questioning.

"Don't bother asking." I sighed and together we watched the Grinch.
