Lisa POV

"Don't do this! Please!" I tried reaching out to grab his arm but he quickly yanked it out of my grip. "I'm begging you not to do this."

"No! I can't just sit back and watch some old bitch try to kill the only girl I love! WHO, doesn't even love me back!"

"I..do love you." I frowned at his heartbroken expression. "Not like I love Jennie. Please don't do this."

"Then why care huh!"

"Because I care about you! I don't want to lose you either! We don't know how powerful she really is and I can't just let you go out there, V."

V cupped my cheeks and I mentally prayed he wouldn't do something stupid, yeah Jennie and I were done, but that didn't mean I wanted to treat my best friend like some rebound.

"Lisa, you aren't a born vampire okay? So you wouldn't know how big of a deal me even having any emotion towards anyone is. The fact that I love you, I need to do this for you. Jennie left, Jackson left, I'm here."

They did leave me. They left because I begged them to keep my parents safe. I didn't think Jennie would actually leave me, but we needed space lately so I'm sure she was quick to take the offer.

And it hurt.

But right now, we had an angry witch on the lose and my vampire best friend trying to go rip her head off, literally.

"V, I-" before I could respond, lips were pressed to mine and I widened my eyes but before I could do anything, he flashed out the door. "NO! V!"

"LISA!" I flew up in my bed, trying to shake off that crazy dream and I looked up to see an amused Rosé, her hands on her hips. "Have fun sleeping in? Beach party remember?"

"You woke me up for that?!" I groaned as I went back under the blankets. "I'll go later!"

"LISA COME ON! HOT GIRLS IN BIKINI SEASON WAKE UP!" We heard V shout as he welcomed himself into our dorm. Soon I felt the blankets being yanked off me and I widened my eyes, knowing I was only in a tee shirt and my panties.

"V!" I flashed into the bathroom, rolling my eyes as Rosé started laughing with him. "I'm going to kill you!"

"Already dead! Worst you could do is wear those hideous yellow boyshorts. Try some sexy black lace next time."

I growled at him and immediately his laughing stopped. I walked out, ignoring his playful cat call and grabbed my bathing suit. I flipped him off as I went into the bathroom to change, hearing his loud offended gasp.

"Babe?" I smiled as I finished tying the top. I flashed out and pinned Jennie to the wall, kissing the life out of her since I missed her so much. She smiled into the kiss and we heard two gags.

I turned to see Rosé holding a trash can out to V, who was pretending to throw up in it. We glared at the idiots, who then smiled.

"Come on Chae, let's leave them to have a quickie." He bent down so Rosé could get on his back, waving to us as he ran past us to run them to the beach.

"He doesn't worry you? That he's alone with Rosie?" Jennie said as she closed the door and I gave her a confused look. "We still don't know him that well."

"You mean you don't know him that well. Every time he comes to hang out with the four of us, you leave for some reason. He won't hurt her and even if he tried, Rosé is strong and can handle herself."

"I get jealous. He fits in with us so perfectly and... he's a vampire. What if one day he wanted to feed and you both start-" I cut her off, throwing my arms around her.

"Baby." I smiled as I kissed her cheek, "That's not going to happen. I won't be mad at you feeling insecure but I will say you can't judge him if you don't want to know him. If Jisoo can like him, anyone can."

"Just a friend?"

"Just a friend." I promised, pecking her lips softly and she beamed at me. "Does that mean you'll be nice now?"

"He's a step up from wolf boy. Who, by the way, is practically pacing himself into the sand right now. He says he hasn't seen you in days so he's close to hunting us down."

"Then let's not give him a reason to have a heart attack." I rolled my eyes as we grabbed towels and went to the beach. When we got there, we were surprised to see everyone having fun.

The vampires were still distant from everyone else, but V was still hanging out with Jisoo and Rosé in the water. Jisoo was acting as a referee as V and Rosé tried racing in the water.

It was a pretty good race, but his vampire speed in the water couldn't match a mermaids speed.

"Lisa! Tell her she's just saying Rosé wins because that's her girl!" V shouted as Jennie and I walked into the water. Jennie smirked as Rosé pounced on him, his fake girly scream making us laugh.

I could hear the ball whizzing towards our direction and before it could hit Rosé in the head, V slapped it away. We turned to see some vampires in the water, giggling flirtatiously at V.

"Oh, hey Taehyung. Wanna play some volleyball with us?"

"No. But here's the ball." He tossed it over and turned to us. "They already suck if that's how they aim."

We heard them all hiss at him and I glared over, hissing back at them. He turned back, his eyes red and angry but they quickly backed off.

"Allow me." Rosé smirked as she looked over at them, a sudden wave crashing right on top of them, knocking them under roughly and Jennie started laughing hard.

"Wow Kim! Didn't think you knew how to laugh." V chuckled and Jennie sighed, mumbling something that even I couldn't hear.

"I said I'm sorry for being mean!" Jennie grumbled and V grinned at her, tackling her in a hug, causing her to scream as they both went underwater. We all laughed as she got up, looking like an angry kitten with yellow eyes.

"RUN AWAY! ABANDON SHIP!" V screamed as he ran normal speed out the water, Jennie chasing after him to strangle him.
