Lisa POV
"Okay tell me the truth about Jackson before I rip his tail off." I snarled as I kicked open my aunts door to her office. "He's been following me EVERYWHERE, talking about my safety as though he's my fucking guard dog! I had to TAPE HIM to his chair to leave me alone!"
"Lalisa you better release him. Fine, Jackson is meant to be your protector okay? His ancestor protected your mother when she was human, that passed on to Jackson and you. But since you're a vampire, you don't need his protection. Though, you still have humanity, thus, making him still protective of you."
"Who do I have to kill to make my humanity go away." I grumbled as I sat in the chair, rubbing my temple at the thought of him following me around for the past week.
"No one. You'll always have humanity, you were human once after all. I'd simply sit down with Jackson and talk about your boundaries. Let him still feel like you'll call for his protection when he needs it and he'll back off. But just know, he's bound to you."
"Please don't tell me he-"
"No. You're not his soul mate. I believe you already found yours." She winked at me and I felt my cheeks burn slightly. "And next time you kick my door, it's detention. Niece or not."
"Yes aunt Dara." I rolled my eyes but then remembered something. "I've actually been meaning to ask. My...birth parents. They're not dead, so where are they?"
Her face suddenly beamed with a huge smile. "I've been waiting for this question for the past 98 years. Follow me." I followed her to the passageway but suddenly a second door opened from behind the bookshelf. Through the dark hallway there were torches on the walls to show us the way.
"Your parents made me promise that only when you ask, I'll present them to you. There's still a lot from their story you'll need to know but Lalisa, your parents have always wanted to meet you."
We got to a vault and she typed in a code. "Let's meet your parents."
"Wait. This whole time they've been hidden in the school?!" I had no idea why, but suddenly I felt protective and upset. Upset as though this was a careless move for the protection of my vulnerable parents.
"Yes. Only Kim Jisoo and I have magic placed to protect them from anyone trying to track them or harm them. You were also destined to meet her. That witch that wants to hurt you and your parents, she's also in a sleep spell, but she's hidden allll the way in Jeju. In the ocean."
"Hope she drowns every day." I hated that woman. She's caused so much to my life and to my Jennie's, she deserves a worse fate. If I ever saw her, I'd break her.
"These are your parents." She led me inside and I felt a slight gasp leave my lips as I took in the view of my parents laying side by side on a bed. Both peaceful expressions but I could hear the slight heartbeats as though they were really asleep.
"Whenever you're ready, you can wake them. Just know the minute they wake, it won't be long before that hag senses their power and wakes as well. It would most likely bring a war to this school."
"I can't just talk to them?" I frowned, walking over to my mother to take in her features. "What if I'm ready for them to wake up?"
"You're not." Aunt Dara smiled sadly at me. "Trust me, I've missed my brother and friend for years, but I refuse to put my niece in danger until she's truly ready. I promise, nothing will happen to them and they'll be here when you're ready."
I gently touched my moms cheek, promising them both to visit them.
Hello I almost screamed as I unintentionally read her thoughts. "She talked to me! Her thoughts said hello!"
"I forgot she could also read minds." Aunt Dara sighed. "I'll give you a minute then."
C-Can you read me?
Yes my darling I smiled as I grasped her hand, putting it to my cheek as though she were doing it. I'm so so sorry this was how we met. I promise to explain and to make up for all the years my darling Lalisa
I forgive you, mother I set her hand down, feeling angry at how this was my first time speaking to my mother and yet, I couldn't do that in person. I promise I'll wake you and my dad up when Aunt Dara deems me ready
Be patient, my darling. It's very dangerous to do so if you aren't ready. Trust always in your aunt. We'll be here until then and we love you so so much.
I kissed her cheek, before flashing around to do so with my father and left the room. I made it back to my dorm after my aunt told me it would be best to tell Jennie what the news was on Jackson.
She took it well.
If you consider throwing a desk out of a window and snapping her chair in half.
But she took it well in my eyes. She didn't physically hurt Jackson or try to. Well. I hope not at least.
"Baby." I cooed softly as I straddled her lap. She was still glaring at the floor, sulking on the bed. "He's not the one I want okay? He's just a protector. He knows nothing will ever happen between us."
"But I'm your protector." Jennie frowned at me, wrapping her arms around my waist. "I may not be a wolf but I'm always going to protect you with every ounce of me."
"I have to talk to him about this. He needs to know that he can't follow me everywhere, that I'm fine with him protecting from a distance. It'll work out, I promise."
She sighed and I grinned at her, shoving her back to lay down. "You took the news so well, I'm thinking you deserve a reward." I kissed her throat, smirking at the soft moan and the way she gripped my lips as I kissed my way down.
