Can you let me in?

Chp 3

Wanda held y/n for a few hours before she finally started to stir awake. Wanda quickly brought her hand up to y/n check and rubbed her thumb along it waking her up more.

"Hi sweetheart." Wanda says, watching y/n still battling sleep.

Y/n slowly opens her eyes and notices Nat isn't the one holding her. Wanda watches panic flash over the girls face.

"Hey, no it's okay. It's just me. Just Wanda." Wanda coos. Still stroking y/n check and starting to rock her a bit.

Y/n settles back in her arms. She looks back up at Wanda and nods to herself before looking around the room for Nat. However, something catches her eye in the shopping bag. Wanda catches on and quickly stands keeping y/n on her hip as she strolls over.

Wanda stops at the bag and pulls out the plush bunny she had bought for y/n. "Do you want this bunny?" Wanda asks, bringing it up to y/n.

Y/n looks at it a second before tucking her head into wanda's neck. "It's okay, you can have it. I bought him just for you." Wanda says.

Y/n slowly nods into wanda's neck.

Wanda smiles before placing the bunny in y/n arms and watches as she quickly pulls it into her arms.

Wanda makes her way over to the sofa and sits down, still holding y/n in her lap. The two stay cuddling. Natasha slowly walks in and smiles at the pair. She heads over and kneels in front of them both looking at y/n.

"Hey y/n. I was wondering if we could chat with you?" Natasha says trying to keep her voice cheerful, as to not scare y/n.

Y/n looks between the two women and nods. She notices the two older women look at each other for a moment before Natasha speaks.

"We were wondering if you wanted to come home with us." Natasha pauses and grabs y/n hand before continuing. "I think I can speak for both of us when I say we really care for you y/n. We will protect you if you come back with us. I can offer you safety, food, a home. Whatever you need babygirl." Natasha says watching tears form in y/n eyes.

"You're people don't like me." Y/n says, sounding a bit bigger now.

Wanda turns y/n face to look at her. "They will, they don't know the real you. Both Natasha and I have difficult pasts. They will be able to oversee it. It might take time but I know they will." Wanda says.

"And if they don't then we will go, the three of us. We will be fine on our own. We've got you y/n. You don't have to be alone, you don't have to be big." Natasha says.

This causes y/n to start crying. Both Natasha and Wanda immediately pull her into a hug, while Natasha keeps repeating "it's okay" into y/n ear.

"Okay." Y/n says quietly.

Natasha and Wanda smile looking at each other. "Okay."

Natasha starts to pack up the quinjet and prepares it for flight as Wanda helps y/n pack. Y/n has few items, not surprisingly seeing as she's on the run. Wanda however helps her pack the few personal items she has. Wanda sets the bag by the front door for Natasha to grab before picking y/n up.

Y/n smiles wrapping her arms around Wanda causing her to drop her bunny. Y/n looks down at it and whines a little cause Wanda to chuckle and shake her head before leaning down to grab it.

"You gotta hold on tight to him." Wanda says tucking the bunny securely under y/n arm. Y/n nods in response.

"How about we take one last look around the place. Make sure we didn't forget anything?" Wanda says, getting a small nod from y/n.

Wanda wanders through the small apartment holding y/n close. Wanda pauses a moment in each room to let y/n look over it. After they go through each room and y/n does say anything Wanda heads to the door.

Before stepping out she looks at y/n. "Are you ready to go?" Wanda says, looking down at her.

Y/n pauses a moment and looks up around the room. "Yes." Before slowly placing her head back protectively in wanda's neck.

Wanda walks over to the quinjet holding y/n close. Natasha smiles as soon as she sees the pair walk in.

"Are you ready y/n?" Natasha says rubbing y/n back a bit. Y/n give a sleepy nod causing Natasha to smile.

Wanda looks at y/n and back up at Natasha. "Let's go home."

Natasha nods and heads to pilot the flight back to the compound. Wanda and y/n sit in the back. Y/n stays protectively in Wanda's lap as Wanda rubs her back.

After about an hour y/n falls asleep and starts suckling on Wandas collarbone. Wanda smiles before closing her eyes and letting sleep over take her.

Wanda is softly awoken by Natasha lightly shaking her shoulders. "We are here." Natasha says, before grabbing her bag.

Wanda stands up still holding a sleeping y/n. Y/n whines a bit, losing Wanda's collarbone but Wanda helps guide her head back to it. "Should we wake her?" Wanda asks.

"No she's okay. She clearly needs some sleep." Natasha says admiring y/n.

Natasha lowers the ramp of the quinjet and sees Fury standing with a full strike team in full tactical gear.

Natasha immediately takes out her gun and walks down in front of Wanda who is still holding y/n on her hip. Wanda's free hand quickly gets red wisps around it ready to protect y/n.

"Fury." Natasha says standing at the bottom of the ramp staring him down.

"Agent Romanoff. See you went off orders." He says looking past Natasha trying to get a glimpse of y/n. Natasha quickly notices and blocks his view.

"I made a judgement call." Natasha says, still clenching her gun.

"One you didn't have the liberty to make." Fury states, looking at the tactical team and nodding.

Quickly all of their guns are pointed at the three women. Natasha lifts hers at him and starts to speak before Wanda stops her.

Wanda tilts her head and with her one free hand let's the ball energy play in her hand. Quickly all of the strike team's agents' eyes go red and their guns go to point at Fury.

"Y/n is staying with us. She will be able to pick if she wants to join the avengers or be able to do something else. Y/n is not a shield treat and will no longer be treated as one." Wanda says with her accent coming out.

"This is your only warning." Wanda states, before walking past Fury with Natasha following close behind.

Y/n doesn't know it yet, but these two will do anything for her.
