Chp 26

Tony excuses himself from the table going over to the two mothers who are keeping a close eye on Y/n.

"So y/n and your sis, how's that feel Nat?" Tony says with a smirk grabbing an apple from the counter.

Before Tony can take a bite of it both of his feet are out from under him as he falls face first to the ground.

"Got to watch where you step Tony." Nat says smirking down at him.

"Nat" Wanda says, giving her a look.

"What? I didn't do anything." Nat smirks heading back in to join the coloring.

Wanda offers her hand and helps Tony get to his feet. "So you two liking your mini vacation here? Ready to head back yet?" Tony asks, a bit hopeful.

"It is nice, I was definitely surprised about her family, seeing as she had never mentioned one, but I couldn't imagine a better family to be a part of." Wanda pauses for a moment. "I don't think we can come back Tony, not while Fury is there."

"Ahh yes the one eyed dick..director." Tony says seeing Wanda give him a look.

"Well when you guys are ready we are all ready to welcome you back and protect all of you." Tony says smiling.

"Thank you Tony, for everything." Wanda smiles before walking to join everyone else.

The group settled into a slow morning routine with cartoons playing and many pictures drawn as they all caught up on the past few weeks. Both Wanda and Nat were happy to see y/n back to her chatty little self again.

During a lull in the conversation the sound of a car door closing caught Natasha's attention. She quietly listened for another one while taking a quick headcount of the place, noticing everyone was accounted for.

The second car door pulled Yelena's attention as well as she looks around the room as if doing the same thing.

"Is anyone expecting anyone?" Natasha asks lowly, looking around the room which had fallen silent.

Everyone shook their heads looking at each other.

"Melina and Alexei haven't given anyone this address." Yelena adds knowing it was not a welcomed guest that has arrived.

"Get to the back room." Natasha says motioning everyone away from the front door. Wanda quickly picks up y/n and brings her back. Everyone gets into the small room and closes the door, making sure to keep y/n and Wanda in the back of the room to protect them.

Suddenly a knock on the front door silences the group.

No one moves a muscle, looking between each other. Tony taps his chest twice and a suit forms around him. Protectively standing between the door and the group.

Another knock pounds on the door. Suddenly a deep voice breaks through the silence. "vi är bara här för Surge." (we are only here for Surge)

Steve goes to stand next to Tony knowing they might have to fight their way out of this one.

As soon as Natasha hears the Swedish she covers y/n's ears. Knowing they are here for her and didn't want y/n to hear the codename that makes her react.

"Wanda take y/n away from here." Natasha says, still covering her little one's ears.

"Nat I cannot do that. I am not leaving you, it's not safe." Wanda pleads.

"Wanda please. We cannot risk them getting y/n. Please. Go to the other safehouse I told you about, remember the one by the water?" Natasha asks.

The pounding on the door continues as they hear the people outside assembling some sort of weapon.
