Chp 27

Wanda stands frozen at the door as Yelena pushes past her to head into the safe house.

"What do you mean they got Natasha?" Wanda says, looking at Yelena.

"Exactly what it sounds like." Yelena says going around the safe house grabbing stashed guns.

"What? How could this happen? Tell me what happened!" Wanda demands, walking over to stop Yelena.

"They had me pinned, everyone was surrounded. So she started to bargain with them, getting them to let us go if they just brought her in. I don't know why, but she just did it." Yelena stated looking away.

"Y'lena why sad? where Mama?" Y/n asks from the stairs noticing Yelena is here.

"Y/n baby, can you go back upstairs please. Yelena and I just need some time to talk." Wanda says, trying to not get y/n involved yet.

"Where Mama?" Y/n asks again not moving from the stairs.

"Sweetheart please." Wanda tries knowing it probably won't work.

"Wan' Mama, where mama" Y/n tries again, looking over at yelena as tears start to form in y/n's eyes.

Yelena starts to open her mouth but Wanda interrupts her. "Yelena, please don't."

Yelena's eyes go between Wanda and Y/n. "Wanda, y/n deserves to know." Yelena says, looking at y/n.

"I deserve to know what, Wanda?" Y/n says immediately getting out of her headspace noticing something is wrong.

"Nat.." Wanda starts but gets overtaken by sobs.

Y/n goes to hug Wanda hoping to help even though she still doesn't know what is going on. Y/n looks over to Yelena with a confused glace.

"Nat got taken." Yelena says, frowning.

Unknown location

Natasha was slipping between consciousness with a bag over her head. She tries to memorize the turns as they are taking her through the facility, making a mental map of the place. Finally they stop and she hears the guards leave the room. Natasha stops and takes a deep breath to compose herself. As she does, a familiar smell invades her nostrils which causes her to move quickly to try and work on the chains around her wrists but before she can get too far she hears footsteps approaching.

She hears the doors open before slamming shut again.

Suddenly the bag is pulled from her head. It takes a second for her eyes to adjust before she is face to face with a hydra scientist.

"Am I supposed to know who you are?" Natasha asks, eyeing him. Trying to ignore her surroundings.

"No one knows who I am yet, but after you. Everyone will." He smiles down at her.

Before Nat can respond she feels a prick in her neck as she passes out.

Back at the safehouse

"Who took Nat?" Y/n asked a bit confused.

"The bad guys." Wanda says.

"Hydra." Yelena says at the same time earning a glare from Wanda as Yelena just shrugs.

Wanda watches y/n as she just nods her head.

"Small group or big group?" Y/n asks.

"What?" Wanda asks, unsure of what y/n is referencing.
