Can you let me in?

Chp 4

Natasha, Wanda and y/n walk into the compound. Y/n still sleeping soundly on Wanda's hip. Natasha heads in first, stepping into the living room to quickly get the team's attention.

"Hey Romanoff, how was the mission?" Steve asks curiously.

Natasha only glares back at him and brings her finger to her lips shushing the men. Tony, Steve, Clint and Sam all look over at her confused. Natasha turns back and nods. Slowly Wanda walks in with a still sleeping y/n on her hip.

All the men look back at Natasha with a mixture of shock and confusing on their faces. As soon as Wanda gets in the elevator Natasha turns back to them.

"Okay, you can ask now." Natasha says, expecting a whirlwind of questions.

Wanda uses her magic to open the door to her room. She slowly sets y/n down and tucks the bunny protectively in her arm. Wanda pulls the blanket up and kisses y/n on the forehead. She exits the room and slowly closes the door.

Once outside Wanda talks to the AI. "Friday, can you please alert me when y/n starts to wake up?"

"Of course, miss Maximoff," the AI says.

Wanda smiles and heads back down to where the team was. Before the elevator even opens Wanda can hear the team arguing on the other side.

"Are you crazy Nat?! Did you actually lose your mind? Bringing surge back here? Our biggest threat just sleeping soundly in our beds!?" Tony states, as Wanda enters the room.

"She's a little Tony, she needs our help." Steve tries to reason.

"Oh not you too capsicle." Tony says looking over at him.

"She's not going to hurt us Tony. Y/n is just scared. She's never had someone take care of her before, we can do that for her." Wanda says making her presence known.

"What happens when she isn't little?" Tony says looking between Nat and Wanda. Both women look at each other unsure.

"Oh you didn't think of that did you? Y/n might not be able to kill us now, but the second she switches back. Everything is forgotten and we are all dead." Tony says.

"Tony that's not how it works, you know that." Steve states.

"The thing is we don't know that. We don't know this little. Y/n is a threat, we need to treat her like one." Tony says, starting to stand up.

"No." Natasha says in a whisper. The first words she had spoken since the argument started.

"What was that?" Tony asks, playing ignorant.

"I said no." Natasha pauses before heading over to Tony standing up. "Now, I don't care what you think. I don't care what she has done. Y/n needs our help. My help. Now, if you have an issue with it I suggest you go back to that pent house in the city. Because if you stay here and even look at y/n wrong.."

"What you'll kill me?" Tony says with a bit of a smirk.

"You'll only wish you were dead." Natasha says standing directly in front of Tony. The two stare at each other for a moment before Tony turns his head.

"Same goes for all of you." Natasha says before leaving the room.

"Okay, but she's scary." Sam says looking around the room. "Yeah, she is." Tony says falling back on the sofa.

Wanda smiles a bit and heads over to the kitchen to make a snack. After a minute Steve heads in after her.
