Can you let me in?

Part 14

After y/n went down for her nap Wanda and Nat went to the common room to relax and chat with the rest of the Avengers to catch them up on what was happening with y/n.

"Hey gals, where is Y/n?" Steve asks, watching the two avengers walk in.

"She's napping. Actually we wanted to talk to you about her." Wanda says, making sure everyone is paying attention.

"Sure. How is she doing?" Steve asks, honestly curious.

"She's better, but still seems a bit nervous around men. Nat and I actually were hoping you'd help us with that." Wanda says, getting nods from everyone. "So we want to try to start slowly reintroducing everyone. We are going to do this at her pace, so we will start with just having her around you guys." Wanda continues.

"No staring or comments. Just coexisting, got it?" Natasha says, getting to the point.

"So just ignore you? I thought this was gonna be hard." Tony says, smirking. Earning Natasha to slap the back of his head.

"Tony." Steve cuts in.

"Sorry, I mean of course. Whatever y/n needs, you both know y/n has grown on all of us." Tony corrects. The rest of the Avengers nod to agree.

"Thank you." Wanda says before sitting on the sofa.

Just as Natasha and Wanda were about to relax Friday cuts in. "All Avengers presence is requested in the conference room." The AI announces.

"Who requested it?" Natasha asks, a bit annoyed.

"Director Fury." The AI states.

"This isn't going to be good." Wanda says under her breath.

"No it's not." Tony agrees while walking to the conference room.

The avengers file into the conference room all taking seats at the table. Fury looks them over, noticing someone is missing. "Where is y/n?" Fury questions looking at Natasha.

"Napping." Nat states, leaving no room for questioning.

"Go get her." Fury says.

"I am sure this can be handled without her." Natasha says, trying to keep her cool.

"Get her Romanoff." Fury demands.

"No." Natasha states, surprising everyone in the room. Natasha is not one to usually argue with the Director so openly. Everyone eyes each other unsure of what to do or say.

"Romanoff I will not ask again. I don't need to remind you of the implications of if I decide y/n can't stay with the Avengers." Fury says, now leaning over the table.

"She is still healing." Natasha states. Everyone can tell Nat is getting worked up, her usual professional facade is breaking.

"Medical cleared her yesterday. Now go get her. That is an order." Fury demands.

Wanda quickly grabs Nat's hand when she sees it is going for the knife she keeps in her boot. The action causes Nat to break her staring contest with Fury to look at Wanda. Wanda just nods at Nat. "I'll go grab her." Wanda says, not wanting Nat to do something she'll regret.

"Thank you Ms. Maximoff." Fury says, turning his attention to the screen.

Wanda quickly heads to the room. She debates if she should wake y/n up or just bring a sleeping y/n to the meeting. Wanda quickly realizes she needs to wake y/n and try to bring her back to an older headspace. "Hey y/n" Wanda says storking y/n cheek.

"Mommy?" Y/n gets out, cuddling more into wanda's touch.

"Yes babygirl, I need you to wake up for me." Wanda gets out.
