Can you let me in?

Part 21

Y/n woke up to a noise outside the window. She immediately curls into her Mama's neck whining.

"Mama, 'cary noise." Y/n whispers into her neck. Natasha stirs awake pulling y/n in to cuddle her more.

"It's okay, just the wilderness." Natasha says rubbing y/n's back trying to calm her.

Y/n realizes her Mama is right. Plus she's in a house with 3 trained assassins, a Russian super soldier and a witch. Which oddly enough gives her some comfort.

As she's closing her eyes to go back to sleep she hears the sound again. This time though Mama sits up and grabs her gun from the nightstand.

"Wanda." Nat says quietly, shaking her shoulder a bit.

"Mmm, what time is it?" Wanda gets out sleepily.

"Mommy up." Y/n says clinging onto Wanda now that her Mama is walking around the room.

"Hi babygirl, why are you awake?" Wanda asks, pulling y/n on top of her to cuddle. Y/n whines in response burying her face in her mommy's neck.

"Wanda, someone is here. I'm going to go check it out. You and y/n need to stay in this room. Don't let anyone else in here. Got it?" Natasha says grabbing another gun to tuck in her waistband.

"I can come and help." Wanda offers knowing she is more equipped to handle the situation as well.

"No, stay here, they know I'll be here seeing as it's my family. They don't know you and y/n are. I want to keep it that way." Natasha says, starting to walk out the door.

"Wait." Wanda says standing up, carrying y/n over to Nat. "Please be safe." Wanda says looking at Nat.

"I always am." Natasha says kissing y/n on the forehead before giving Wanda a quick peak.

Natasha opens the door to see Alexei, Melina and Yelena standing outside of it. "Are you expecting anyone?" Melina asks.

"No, Wands and y/n are going to stay in this room while I go check it out." Natasha says, starting to walk down the hall.

"We will come with you." Alexei states, not leaving much for question.

Natasha pauses before looking back at them. "Fine, but we don't have time for you to try to squeeze into your suit. Just grab a weapon and meet me downstairs."

All three of them hurry to grab their weapons before regrouping. Natasha waits by the front door just listening for the noise again.

"You had to wear the vest." Natasha states, shaking her head a bit.

"Pockets come in handy, plus you're in a hoodie with the hood up. If anyone should be talking it should be me." Yelena says, before Nat can respond Alexei and Melina come down.

"Okay so the sound is coming from the woods. I think we fan out looking for it." Natasha says.

"Understood. Take an ear piece, we need to be able to talk to each other. But not too much chitchat." Melina says looking at Alexei with her last comment.

Everyone slips it into their ears. Silently nodding to each other before opening the door. Each making their way into the woods guns drawn.

"Anyone see anything yet?" Alexei asks over the comms.

"You think we'd tell you if we did?" Yelena adds sarcastically.

"Thought I'd check. Everyone still alive?" He asks.

"We can literally all see each other still." Natasha says, shaking her head.

"Maybe we should have left him inside." Yelena adds.
