The week went by fast and now, here we are on our way to the palace for the dinner with the royal family.
As soon as I stepped in the foyer yesterday, mamu grabbed me and we went to buy for a dress. This time I met the store owner Ms. Laura.
She's a tall petite blonde girl. She was wearing a black blazer, black skinny trouser and red pumps, she looks lovely.
"Lady Mindy, its nice to see you again."
"Laura, this is Cassey. Claire's daughter."
She looked at me with sparkling eyes.
"Hi Cassey, its great to finally meet you. I've heard a lot about you from Claire."
She knows mom.
"Cassey, Laura here is a friend of your mom. She usually is the one who makes the dresses your mom and I wear for the events we attend."
A friend of mom, this is a first. She hugged me tightly, she smells divine.
"What do we have here?" She asked.
"We'll be going for a dinner at the palace." Mamu said.
"I think I have couple of dresses for Cassey here. Come, follow me."
She showed me 5 dresses to choose from. All looks wonderful, I can't barely choose. I wore it one by one and let them choose for me.
"The blue one looks gorgeous on you darling, its perfect for the dinner." Mamu said.
I was wearing a midnight blue sleeveless dress. The neckline is like a V but not too low, the back is the same design as the front. The skirt is like a blooming flower, its stiff yet bouncy.
"Thank you very much Laura, we'll be back again soon. Cassey would need a new wardrobe for the coming days."
More shopping! This could be fun, and then maybe not. Hello sore feet.
"I'll be glad to make pieces for her. It wouldn't be hard to make some for such a lovely face."
I blushed. I've received more compliments these past few days than in my past 17 years.
"Cassey, you look nervous." Mamu said and held my hand.
"I am."
"Don't be darling. You look wonderful, but let me put darker lipstick on you to make you look less nervous."
She went to her make up bag and dig for a lipstick, yes DIG.
The prince has been in the camp for the whole week. He has been teaching me with some formalilties when attending formal receptions except yesterday because Tatiana is there and she asked Louie to help teach the kids the fundamentals in hiking. He asked me to listen to the lecture, and Tatiana seems pissed, she almost shouted to a noisy kid.
The palace was lit like the night I saw it with Calix from the coffee shop. It's even prettier close-up. The fountain at the entrance is open and so are the lights in the bushes around the fountain.
As we near the foyer, I could see that there are a lot of people in there. I could see Louie, the tall one in the three shadows together. I guess he's with the King and Queen.
"Do the King and Queen always wait for their guests?" I asked papai and mamu.
"They do." Mamu said, pressed my hand and smiled at me knowing that I'm nervous.
"Just smile, child. I think the King and Queen is fond of you." Papai said.
And that made me more nervous, knowing deep in my mind they are probably going to look at me through the night. I should be in my best behaviour.
