I was quite shocked when I saw Louie's name on my phone calling.
"Hey Cass! Its Louie. I'm on my way to camp. Should I pick you up?"
"Hey! Uhm. Its fine, Papai would drive me there."
"I'll just pick you up. I'll be there in 10."
"Well, okay." Who am I to say no to a Prince?
"See you."
I didn't move for a few minutes still shocked after getting a call from Louie.
After getting my senses back, I went to the kitchen to see mamu.
"Cassey, Here's some pancakes for breakfast. Do you like me to put peaches or strawberry?"
"Peaches please, mamu"
"Chocolate?"
"Yes, please. Where's papai?"
"He's waiting for you outside."
"Louie called. He's going to pick me up."
Mamu got the same shocked face. "The prince?"
"Yes, mamu."
"Hmmm. Okay. Eat your breakfast then, there's a prince going to pick you up."
I rolled my eyes to mamu. She laughed, "I'll go tell your Papai."
"Thanks mamu."
All I can think of is Louie picking me up. Why is he picking me up? Maybe his mother, the Queen, told him to do so as a part of welcoming the long lost not knowing noble of Pelipia.
"Cassey, Calix is here." Taking me from my deep thoughts. Calix?? What is he doing here? And then, I saw his sweet morning smiling face
"Cassey! Good morning my lady."
"Calix, Good morning!"
"My mom loved the cookies you baked, especially Claire! Oh my god! She wouldn't stop asking me who baked it, she even wants to come with me here today but mom won't let her for she has school." He hands me a box."Here, mom baked this for you."
I opened it and the scent overwhelmed me. It smells so yummy! Cinnamon! I love cinnamon.
"Cinnamon bars!" I said in excitement.
"You don't like cinnamon? I'm sorry, I already told mom you might not like it but its her specialty."
"No, no! I love cinnamon! I'd put cinnamon on anything if I can."
He sighed in relief. "That's great! I think the three of you will have a good time in the kitchen."
"Cassey, Louie's here." Mamu called.
Is that disappointment in Calix's face? I don't think I should explain it to him, but I think I need to. "Louie's on his way to camp so he picked me up."
"Hmmm..." It looks like he's thinking of something to say but he looked lost. "Too bad I didn't brought extra bars for him, he loves those too."
"I could share him some."
"Just dont let him see the whole box. He might not save any for you."
"I won't let him." I smiled.
We went out to the foyer and see Louie there.
"Calix! What are you doing here?"
"Just dropped off something."
"Do I smell..."
