"Valerio, is everything alright? I heard screaming and thought you might be in trouble," Gino said weakly.
Valerio removed the thin arms before making his to Gino supporting the smaller male by putting his arms around the latter's shoulder; he then turned to look at Cherry, who stood motionless.
"This is my happiness; without him, my life will have no meaning," said Valerio turning his attention to look at Gino and then back again at Cherry
"By the end of tonight, I expect you to be gone from the premises." Valerio turned to leave with Gino while supporting him.
Seeing that Valerio was leaving her again, Cherry moved her legs forward and grabbed onto Valerio, pulling him backwards roughly, making Valerio lose his gentle hold on Gino.
"Val, please, I'm sorry; I'll do whatever you want, but please don't cast me out." Cherry pleaded, unaware of how rough she had pulled Valerio.
Cherry had always been a person that made a lot of fuss about her appearance; she would not leave her room if one piece of hair stood out of place.
However, at this precise moment, she had been so distraught to even care about her appearance; Gino spoke, unable to watch any further.
"Valerio, please, she has nowhere else to go, let alone have a family; please listen to her."Valerio turned his gaze away from his beloved and looked at the woman he had watched grow up before him; with a sigh, he spoke.
"A week is all I'm giving you, and I will ask Xander to find a nice place for you; until then, you are not to contact me as I am no longer your guardian."
Valerio again placed his arms around Gino and helped him out of the room; once they were far from the study, Gino turned to look back, ensuring that Cherry did not follow before he spoke.
"Valerio, please reconsider; she is a woman; you are the closest thing to family for her; she would not last in this cruel world by herself."
"Beautiful, I understand your concern for her, but she has already been mated. It is time for her to move away from us."
"She's already mated; does that mean she's found her mate."
Valerio did not answer immediately as he used his free hand to open the door and led Gino to the bed, where he pulled the covers back before carefully helping Gino onto the bed with the I.V. pole beside him.
Once he sat beside Gino on the edge of the bed, Valerio spoke.
"Yes, but she rejected them."
"She rejected them; I thought it was sacred that we are bound to our fated ones."
"It is, if one is to reject their mate, they would be living in a world full of sorrow, pain and anguish; to put it simply, dying would be a better option than to live your life that way."
Gino listens to Valerio's voice while fighting the urge to puke out the soup he had just eaten hours before.
Seeing Gino's complexion change, Valerio quickly grabbed hold of his hands and spoke frantically.
"Beautiful, what is it? Is your back hurting again?"
"Valerio, please take me to the bathroom. I'm afraid I can not hold it in much longer."
Pulling out the IV, Valerio lifted Gino in his arms and carried him into the bathroom; once there, Gino did not hesitate to bring his food back the way it went. Once everything was emptied, Gino moved from the cold floor to the basin; turning on the taps, he splashed cold water on his hot face.
Valerio stood watching as Gino threw up the soup he had eaten earlier; moving closer to the smaller male, Valerio helped Gino freshen up before carrying him back to the bed. Since the IV drip had been removed, Valerio replaced it with a new batch; then, he moved closer to Gino to connect the needle back into a small compartment attached to Gino's right arm.
Gino watched as Valerio changed the drip professionally, like someone that did it for a living.
"Is there anything that you cant do?" Asked Gino, playfully receiving a smile in return
Valerio did not answer but responded with his question
"How are you feeling now? Are you allergic to something in the soup? Is that why you threw up?"
"I'm not sure this is the first time I felt this way; maybe it's because I moved too much without letting the food digest in my stomach."
"Mn maybe; how's the wound on your back? Does it need new bandages" Valerio did not let Gino speak; he quickly but carefully pulled Gino's shirt to see the wound on his back just as he thought the bandages had been soaked through with blood and needed to be replaced.
"Stay put; I'll be back."
Walking towards the bathroom, grabbing the bandages from the cabinet and other necessary items, Valerio walked back to the room to see Gino slowly closing his eyes."Beautiful, I'm going to change your bandages; if you are tired, you can sleep; I will tuck you in once I'm done."
Seeing that the other did not respond, Valerio let out a small chuckle and then continued to change the bandages; once that was done, he gently put Gino on his back before pulling the blankets over him. Picking up the dirty applications and the medical accessories, Valerio walked towards the bathroom, where he washed his hands and put the medical equipment back in its place.
