"What's happing," asked Gino, feeling fully awake

"I'm not too sure, but it sounds like an explosion or a crash of some sort", answered Doris.

Gino was quiet for a moment when he thought of the possibility that the explosion might have something to do with Valerio coming to rescue him.

"No," said Gino, moving to the door.

"Gino, what is it? Don't open that door," shouted Doris from behindAlthough Doris was only inches behind Gino, she had failed to stop him. Both Gino and his grandma exit from the door to the room that held them captive to see Valerio enter through the entrance dressed all in black.

Gino looked behind Valerio and noticed a huge hole where the front entrance was once before confirming his earlier thoughts. Valerio caused the loud explosion earlier.

"VALERIO!" screamed Gino, running towards the man.Gino did not get far when he was grabbed by the waist and hurled backwards to where Cherry had held Doris tightly in her grasp, preventing him from advancing any further.

"GINO!" shouted Valerio, his eyes locked on Gino.

"Let him go; you wanted me, didn't you? I will trade my life for him.." Valerio put his hands behind his back and slowly and cautiously advanced towards Nick, who was holding Gino by the throat.

"Mr Valerio, taking your life now would only be a blessing to you, but if I were to take the one thing you put above everything else, wouldn't that be more interesting? Nothing will please me more than to see you live every day in agony, losing control of yourself, and when the time comes, you will fall into the grave that I've prepared for you."

"No, Valerio, please go, save yourself, don't worry about me.."

SLAP

"Shut up"

"Gino," said Valerio, taking a step forward

"Not another step, Sir, if you don't want this pretty thing dead in front of your eyes, but then again, it will not be only his life but also the life of your unborn child, a bonus, really,"

"You... aargh", groan Valerio.

Don, who had been standing behind Valerio, came from behind and struck the male in his lower abdomen, clutching his waist... Valerio lowered his massive body onto the ground on bend knees; he sucked in a deep breath, hoping to relieve himself from the pain.

"Valerio", whispered Gino.

Seeing Valerio in pain, Nick asked Don to lift him up again. Leaving a whimpering Gino behind... Nick walked up towards Valerio and struck the man again in his lower abdomen, making him double over in pain.

Nick repeated the process a few times before Valerio's legs gave out, and he fell to the ground with a loud thud. Nick was not only satisfied with the punches, but he had lifted his leg to kick and stomp on Valerio's already battered and bruised body.

As Nick was venting out his grief, anger and built-up frustration on Valerio, no one moved to stop him as if they feared getting involved in Nick's fury. Nick lifted his leg for a final kick when he realised that the person he had kicked was not Valerio but Gino, who had to crawl over to Valerio, placing his tiny body on the more prominent male.

"Aargh"

Nick was frozen in his spot when he heard Gino's cry as he had taken on his assault; instead of Valerio, his actions on the smaller male had made Nick stagger a few feet away from both Gino and Valerio.

"Gino, baby, are you alright?" asked Valerio, sitting up while holding his mate gently in his arms.

"Val," said Gino, raising his left hand towards Valerio's handsome face.
