"Ahh, perfect timing," said Nick.

Gino's eyes were locked on to the man that followed behind as if time itself had stopped once the two individuals' eyes met; both in their own worlds, one was full of confusion with a hint of fear, while the other was shocked, angry, and sad.

The next thing that followed, no one could comprehend.

"Were you at The Bristo last night" demanded Valerio lunging forward and grabbing Gino by his thin arms.

"Ex..excuse me."

"Answer me."

"Sir, please, perhaps you have mistaken him for someone else", pleaded Nick moving forward to try and stop his boss from scaring their visitor but was stopped by Xander, who placed his hands on the latter shoulders.

Seeing that his action had caused the other pain, Valerio let go of Gino's arm and took a big breath before calmly asking again.

"Last night, where you at, or working at The Bistro."

Gino rubbed his arms up and down before answering, shocked at how strong the man's hold on him was. If he ever wanted to kill him, all he had to do was to apply pressure on his hands, and Gino would already perish.

"Yes, I worked there."

"You work at The Bristo," asked a confused Nick

"Yes, it was my first job after I graduated from University. I've been working there for two years; why is there a problem."

"No problem, it's just that my brother owns that place."

"Your Rob's brother," asked a surprised Gino.

"Sure am."

"Ahh, small world", smiled Gino at Nick.

Seeing the pleasantries being exchanged between the two, Valerio tried to hold down his anger.

"Enough of this talk; let's talk about this meeting", growled Valerio.

Nick and Gino looked at each other before sitting back on their chairs, while Valerio stood watching the scene outside from the office window, his back towards the people in the room.

Gino continued his speech by asking for details about what needed to be changed and how many adjustments were required before the project could be underway.

As Nick explains the details, Gino reaches out to take a pen from his bag, his necklace coming loose from the inner side of his shirt; at this precise moment, Valerio turns around.

"Could you two gentlemen please leave us for a moment," said Valerio unexpectedly, gesturing for Alexander to guide Nick out.

Gino and Nick stopped what they were doing and looked at each other, more confused.

Once the door was closed, Valerio walked towards Gino, grabbing the necklace that hung low on the person's neck before asking.

"This necklace, where did you get it?" shouted Valerio

"My Grandma gave it to me."

"Really, and who is your Grandma? What is her name."

When Valerio arranged for Nick to wait outside, Gino was confused and scared. This man, who looked like he wanted to take a bite out of Gino, was now asking about his necklace, making Gino feel even more confused and scared.

Feeling impatient, Valerio grabbed the person by his arm again and shook him.

"Tell me, tell me the name of your grandma."

"Doris, her name is Doris Moore."

"Moore, are you the son of Lily Moore?"

"Ahh, please, you're hurting me; let go", pleaded Gino.

"Answer me."

"Yes, yes, I'm her son. How do you know my mother and grandma?"

Shock was the only thing Valerio felt. How could this person be the son of the only person he had ever loved, the person he once gave his heart to?

Hearing a whimper from the tiny human, Valerio quickly let go of their long fragile, thin arms.

"You don't need to know how I know your mother or grandmother. If it were not for this necklace, I would have assumed you were an imposter trying to get my attention," said Valerio walking out of the meeting room, Xander hot on his heels.

"Sir, are you ok?" Asked Xander once they were in the comfort of Valerio's office.

Valerio went into his office shortly after leaving the conference room; he poured himself some whisky before making his way to the large windows and stood for what seemed like an eternity before speaking.

"Xander, do you know who that person was? For all these years, I've been looking for her after she married that Fredrick guy; it was the last I saw her."

Xander stood quietly to the side, shocked at what his master was saying. If he remembers correctly, Lily was the first person, the first human in whom Val took an interest.

Xander was brought back into reality by the sounds of glass smashing.

"How can fate do this to me, Xander? Do you know that apart from him being her son, he is also my fated one" shouted Valerio

At this point, Xander is not prepared to hear the words coming out of Valerio's mouth; after all these years of searching, Valerio has finally found the one destined for him.

For decades the dragon race is always in hiding, afraid to be found and killed by hunters making it harder for their kind to find their destined one.

For a dragon to find their destined one is truly a blessing.

Seeing the state of Valerio, Xander walked out of the office, shutting the door on his way out, leaving Valerio to adjust to his thoughts,

"Nick, is your boss ok," asked Gino

"I'm sure he's fine. Xander is with him; I'm sorry about today's ordeal. How about we reschedule it for another day" said Nick, leading Gino out of the room.

"Xander, Is he the person from earlier?"

"Ahh, excuse my manners; Yes, Xander is the person that entered the room earlier with our CEO, Valerio.

The two continued on their way when they were stopped by a masculine voice calling out to them.
Turning around, Nick spoke

"Xander, what is it?"

"Apologize for earlier Val is not feeling like himself today. Gino, my name is Xander, Mr Valerio's assistant. I wanted to apologize for his behaviour earlier. The man has a lot on his mind, so let's postpone the meeting until Friday. I will have Nick contact you about the details later; how about that."

"Yes, sure"

"Great, again, I'm sorry on behalf of my boss."

"It's no problem. I didn't take it to heart, and yes, Friday sounds good. I will be available."

"Thank you, see you then," said Xander, who nodded to Nick, then left the lobby and walked back in the direction he came.

"Well, it's settled then; see you On Friday," said Nick

"Yes, see you then; bye for now," said Gino; making his way out of the building with a heavy heart, he continued his journey home.
