IRENE:

I decide to go to the library for a change. I used to be there all the time before I got involved with well Draco. O.W.L.S start from tomorrow and although I'm prepared, I want to revise everything well before. I take a seat by the corner and start revising my charms notes. I manage to revise for a long time until I'm interrupted by someone clearing their throat. I look up to find the source.

"Hermione"

"Pierce" she says and awkwardly shuffles her feet.

"To what does the Slytherin sympathizer owe the pleasure?" I ask in a calm voice laced with sarcasm.

Hermione visibly flinches at my jab. Good. She looked extremely uncomfortable, embarrassed even.

"I uh hadadoubt"

"what?"

She draws in a deep breath, "I had a doubt regarding charms"

"Oh"

"Yeah. I was hoping you could help?" This is why it was so awkward for her. I try my best to conceal the smirk on my face. Gryffindor Princess had an academic doubt. But I'm not that much of a bitch. I'll help her.

"Sure. What did you have a doubt about?"

"Um yeah" she opens her book and places it on the table and takes a seat next to me. "I couldn't quite understand the working and calculations of this charm" she points towards a charm on the textbook.

"Wait a minute. I think I might have written it down somewhere" I open my notes and start flipping the pages, trying to find the particular charm.

"Here it is" I say after spotting the topic. The calculations are noted down in an elegant cursive. Too beautiful. Definitely not my scrawl. I run my fingers through the page upon realising that it was Draco who noted this down for me. His handwriting is beautiful, elegant, perfect.

"Um Irene?" I'm snapped out of my thoughts.

"Yeah here it is" I offer her my notes. Written by Draco. I smile.

She goes through the notes for a while and a satisfied expression settles on her face.

"It is so much easier to understand now, the notes are so well written. Thank you. Also your handwriting is enchanting." she passes the notes to me.

"Not a problem" I tell her and offer her a small smile, ignoring the comments on the handwriting. I quickly glance at the book I was reading before, but apparently Hermione has no plans on leaving me alone.

"We used to study here for hours together remember?" she asks me

"I do. I thought you had forgotten though" I say in a clipped voice.

"Listen Irene, I uh, I'am sorry for not trusting you"

"A little to late Hermione, but it's okay I don't care anymore."

"It had nothing to do with you, you know. We didn't include you because of your um involvement with-

"Draco Malfoy?" I raise my eyebrow. Even though the both of us had a crazy fight, I'm angered by how quick people are to judge him.

"Well yes. He is not a very good person Pierce"

"I'll be the judge of that Hermione"

"You're new here Irene. He does nothing but bully people, leave snide comments and he is never paying attention in class" the last remark got me.
