A/N: SURPRISE!

I was supposed to upload this chapter on 10th February but I  just couldn't wait!

I'm absolutely floored by the response to the last chapter. Thank you so so much! The last chapter received 5 votes and 10 comments after mere hours of uploading and it it one of the reasons I've posted this chapter early.

Hope you enjoy this one :)

"Tell me Lucius, when were you going to tell me that your Lord had you kill your unborn children?"

-----

"What?" Lucius drew in a harsh breath, eyes-wide in horror. What was she talking about?

"Oh so you don't know?" Narcissa laughed the cruel laugh of hers. It sent shivers down his spine. "Lucius dear, did you know I was pregnant with twins when Draco was almost one?"

"No!" he whispered. He did not want to know more, the fact that he had only one child to call his own, made it sure that the tale would not be a happy one.

"Yes" Narcissa hissed. "A boy and a girl. Two more babies to play with Draco! I was only 10 weeks along when your 'Lord' decided to pay us a visit. Remember that day Lucius?"

Lucius remembered that day very well. Draco's cries and screams even as a little baby were full of horror when Lord Voldemort had picked him up.

"Remember him ordering you to get me to drink from a chalice? To prove your loyalty?"

"No" Lucius whispered again trying to ward off the image that was forming in his mind, tears falling from his eyes.

"There was so much blood, Lucius. He was still there. I had just taken Draco to his nursery after soothing him and went to our room, there was blood all over the floor. I had the elves examine me" Narcissa choked back a sob. "They were dead. My babies. Both of them. I lost them"

"I never knew Cissa. I-

"Don't you see? Your mighty 'Lord' thought that more children would keep you away from him so he took care of it! He told me that!"

Lucius felt Narcissa penetrating his mind, showing him the scene.

While leaving, Lord Voldemort hissed in Narcissa's ear "I have granted Lucius the honour of one heir to ensure another generation of loyal servants for me, but too many would keep him occupied from his tasks. Won't they Narcissa? Do not dare bring another whelp in this manor or they will suffer the same consequences. I'm sure you understand" with that he left the manor, leaving a broken Narcissa behind him.

Narcissa sobbed for hours clutching her stomach and calling for her babies. They never came back to her.

Lucius didn't know what to say. He had lost more than he knew. Two children he never got to meet. And then Cali. He closed his eyes remembering how coldly he acted towards Draco, after he had just lost a sister. Merlin, what had he been doing all his life?

"You've done so much for that madman Lucius and you have never received anything positive out of it" Narcissa said softly, wiping the proof of her husband's pain from his cheeks.

"Look at me" Narcissa said. Lucius met the equally blood-shot eyes of his wife and then all he knew was pain.

"Give me the prophecy"

"I killed Sirius Black!"
