"I'm trying to reason with you Helena"

"You are not. You are telling me to not do something I know is right." She huffed maintaining her tall posture, floating slightly above his head to look tall and intimidating.

"We know she is not ready. Give her another year please. She is still learning."

"Don't you understand Dumbledore? She won't have to learn any more! the knowledge would come to her just like it did to me"

"It was before it was tainted"

"I can fix it Dumbledore!" she was bellowing at the tall, old wizard.

"Miss Helena, I understand all your concerns about her safety and well-being but at this moment I can only give you my assurance that it is not the right time."

"It never is. Do you want her to end up with the same fate?"

"I would never wish that upon dear Samantha's daughter. But you must understand my concerns Miss Helena. She needs to be physically and mentally strong enough to go through it, you were Rowena's daughter, you were extremely powerful. She is not. Give the girl some time, when the time is right I won't object you"

"You can't keep delaying it Dumbledore. It has to be done someday"

"I know. Just not yet" he gave the Grey lady a curt bow and left for his office.

In his office, he stood near the shallow, stone basin engraved with stones and runes.

He put his wand to his forehead and removed a thin thread like shimmering substance and placed it in the pensieve, his mind was too crowded at the moment

He put his wand to his forehead and removed a thin thread like shimmering substance and placed it in the pensieve, his mind was too crowded at the moment. He was an observant man, he believed you will learn something new about the memory every time you re-visit it. It seemed to have worked for him for many years, but there was this one memory he still could not make any sense of. 28th November 1981, never was clear to him, no matter how many times he would visit that memory he could never find the answers he so desperately wanted. He knew that he could easily gain them now, but that would be at the expense of a child's mental state. No, he was not going to be selfish, he was going to wait for the right time to come.

IRENE:

I was standing outside his door, debating on whether to knock or run away. This is the same door, I pleaded and pounded on for Draco to open it. I have shred a lot of my dignity in front of this door, for the person that will open the door. Yet, I don't think he meant to do that. I don't think he wanted me to feel like he was in control and that I would be up on my knees for him, that is the only reason why it didn't feel humiliating to be talking to him again. I made it clear that I will not be humiliated that day itself, when I slapped him, the red and stinging tint on his pale cheek screaming 'self-respect'. Even then, his demeanor did not change, he was still calm, there was acceptance in his eyes, he knew he deserved it. All of this felt like it happened ages ago, because now I know that there was a reason behind him acting out, and not a petty one if Caleb was to be believed. The only thing I could feel right now was hunger for him and it was engulfing me. A gentle knock on the door and he opened it immediately.
