so emma decided to run against regina and Sidney glass as sheriff which was fun,and then the mayors building caught on fire,which is where we are now

"did you really rescue regina?" i ask and henry came running over to our small group "she did! the fireman said it,they saw it!" 

"you are a hero" double R said

 "we should all see if they have a picture of the rescue" mary margaret suggested 

"they do,i saw sidney take a few" i informed 

"we can make campaign posters" granny said

 "people will love that,it's a great idea" archie piped in and soon they all left.

 emma smiled and kneeled in front of henry "this is how good wins,you do something good and people see it and then they want to help you" 

"maybe you're right" 

"you see henry? we dont have to fight dirty" emma squeezed his shoulders gently 

 "can we go back to operation cobra now? because it's boring without it" i ask and they laughed

 "of course we can" henry smiled up at a me but emma walks forward towards the pile of burnt stuff and kicked up a piece of white wool?

we were now sitting at the election and archie was talking up on the stage "tragedy has brought u here but we are faced with this decision and now we ask only that you listen with an open mind and to please vote your conscience,so without further ado i'd like to introduce the candidates,sidney glass and emma swan,glass-swan sounds like something that a decorator would make you buy" 

no one laughed and i rolled my eyes,seeing regina do the same

 "wow crickets,okay mr.glass your opening statement" 

sidney walked up to the podium and spoke "i just wanted to say that if elected i want to serve as a reflection of the best qualities of storybrooke,honesty,neighborliness,and strength...thank you" we all clapped "and emma swan"

 emma stepped up and looked around,her eyes landed on me,i gave her an encouraging smile with a nod and thumbs up,i saw her take a deep breathe before she spoke "you guys all know i have what they call a troubled past but you've been able to overlook it because of the...hero thing, but here's the thing,the fire was a set up"

 i look at her with wide eyes as everyone gasps "mr.gold agreed to support me in this race,but i didn't know that meant he was going to set a fire.i don't have defensive evidence but i'm sure and the worst part of all this was,the worst part of all of this is i let you all think it was real and i can't win that way...i'm sorry"

the election was over,now we were just waiting on the votes,obviously i voted for emma,but in the meantime me and henry went to granny's and found emma there "hey henry,avery"

 henry pulled out a walkie-talkie from his book bag "what's this for?" she asked and he shrugged "you stood up to mr.gold it was pretty amazing" he said and sat down by her,me doing the same on the opposite side 

"well,he did something illegal" she shrugged

"that's what heroes do,expose stuff like that" i nudged her 

"i shouldn't have given up on operation cobra" he whispered to us and the door chimed again and regina and sidney walked in "i thought i might find you here,with a drink,and avery and henry" regina said in a bored tone 

"here to card me officer?" emma asked sarcastically 

"well not at all,in fact i think i'll join you" sidney said 

"here? i think they're setting up a back room for the victory party" 

"well you'll have to tell me what that's like" i furrowed my brows at his response and regina held up the badge "congratulations sheriff swan" 

"wait what?" me and henry asked simultaneously 

"it was a very close vote but people really seemed to like the idea of a sheriff brave enough to stand up to mr.gold" 

"are you joking?" emma asked in surprise

 "she doesn't joke" sidney replied quickly and i laughed a little because she doesn't

 "you didn't pick a great friend in mr.gold miss swan but he does make a superlative enemy,enjoy that" she gave a fake smile before walking away 

 i grabbed the badge off the counter "this is so cool" i say inspecting it and in the corner of my eye i see mary margaret drag emma away for a couple of minutes before they returned and looked at me with smiles,i gave them a confused look

 "what?" i ask

 "hey kid,how would you like to be my deputy?" emma asked and i dropped the badge out of shock as it landed on the counter 

"you're kidding right?" 

"she doesn't kid" henry said from behind me and i laughed "of course, i-i would love too" i gave her a big grin and emma smiles in response.

a/n: i know this one was kinda short
