A/n I just wanted to note, cursive text = the character's thoughts. Also, In this book, I decided both Akaashi and Bokuto are both going to be third years although not being true to the original story of Haikyuu where these characters are from.

Akaashi always felt like he was just born loving and hating certain things. From when he was only one month old, he loved volleyball. This passion lived through his years down to the present. Middle school. Now. And it was only then he lived to understand why he was born with certain opinions, It was only a theory, one which Akaashi didn't know whether to believe. This was until the second year of middle school. His life had changed, but it was in the past.

The present, middle school, third year.

" The theory remains you are reborn and live another life. There is reason to believe this as you are unexplainably born with certain aspects of your personality. Theorized, this is because you keep your personality from your past life so you already have a personality and know what you like and dislike." A tall lecturing teacher lectured until she came to a sudden stop, her attention was caught by Akaashi. " Akaashi? Akaashi?" He groaned as he realized he fell asleep in class, oh the hell, he hadn't even noticed he'd drifted off. Akaashi looked around the classroom only to notice laughing students surrounding him. "Uh-Uh, Sorry, ma'am." Why couldn't I just sink into the floor and become nothing? The teacher narrowed her eyes and pushed up her glasses, biting her lip. She looked as if she wanted a thousand words to slip out her mouth but instead settled for less. Akaashi knew to be respectful towards his teachers and so they admired having a well-behaved young man, but This teacher, Miss Henderson was like a second mother to Akaashi  "That's alright, Akaashi. Just, snap out of it, after all, you do have a test coming up. And not just in my class, every subject. So if you're not paying attention in my class, you better keep studying at home. Understood?"  She said with a smile. I just sheepishly nodded not knowing what else to do. Once again, the class broke into laughter. " Now, now that's enough class. Oh, and does not apply to any of you. I do not care how much you study at home, you best give 100% in my lessons or else it's detention for all of you! "Miss Henderson said clapping her hands. The rest of the lesson was a blur to Akaashi.

Akaashi and the class were dismissed and to Akaashi's surprise, he saw Bokuto waiting outside the classroom for him. " Bokuto, Wha-" Akaashi began before being interrupted."Why are you avoiding me?" Bokuto asked getting quickly to the point. Akaashi and Bokuto had just started their third year together in middle school and Akaashi had been avoiding Bokuto for half their second year. Akaashi had found something out. Something too big even he found it hard to believe, and his suspicions had been confirmed. " I'm not...I'm not avoiding you..." Akaashi mumbled. Akaashi had been avoiding him for a fact. Akaashi looked away. Akaashi hated avoiding Bokuto and his heart ached for otherwise. But he didn't know what else to do. Akaashi thanked the world Bokuto wasn't going to die in a hospital with Akaashi fearing for Bokuto's life in this life. He remembered his past life...

                                                  *Flashback*

" Mum, Dad?" Akaashi asked one unparticular day. " Are...are past lives real?" He asked, breath shaky. Akaashi's mum, Akaria, and dad, Guni looked at each other with pale expressions. " It's time." Guni sighed and Akaria nodded with hesitation after looking away for a second or two, thinking in consideration. " yes." Akaria's reluctant voice breathed. Akaashi's eyes widened. He looked between his parents in curiosity, wondering why his parents struck such concerned and worried expressions on their faces. " And there are very few people in the world who can remember their past lives. It is very rare. Yet we are both remember...It's how we met...we never wanted you to know...i- I mean no offense but it's just a- well- I....we...there's a possible chance you can remember, and we'd have some of the same memories since...the same life..yeah..." My dad sighed and he rubbed his forehead." Look-" Guni started. "I can remember!" Akaashi started to sob. Something rarer than people remembering their past lives was Akaashi expressing such emotion. " I know it's technically a good thing but I just- And Bokuto - he just..." Akaashi's parents held him in an embrace, Akaashi felt comforted. Bokuto had FFI, and imesia. Hallucinations, not being able to sleep. They were best friends in the hospital, as now. Akaashi loved him in hospital, as he did now. A crush. What the hell was he meant to tell Bokuto? Or did he know?

                                                 * End of flashback*
