"Can we watch Cloud Atlas now?"
"Hmm? Oh, yeah sure."
"YAayyY" C'mon!" Bokuto leaped onto Akaashi's bed pulling Akaashi down with him.
Akaashi took out his laptop and on cloud atlas. Akaashi seized this moment to look at Bokuto more, and he did so for the full hour that was remaining. He thought about last night when they were watching the film. How it ended.
Why am I dumb enough to think Bokuto really likes me? He probably just feels pity for me. And I want it to end like last time. Stupid. Why? Bokuto's always thought of me as just the guy on his team who barely talks. Should I talk more? Should I try to be nicer? I feel like I'm never nice. That's only one of the reasons he doesn't like me. I need to fix my whole personality for him to at least like me as a friend before anything else. Why am I just thinking about this? What the hell is wrong with me. Stop thinking about such idiotic things! Even if they're true, I don't need to be such an idiot about this!
"That film was great! We definitely have to watch that again together another time! It can be our thing!"
"Thing?"
"You know, people usually have an iconic thing when they're in a relationship! Usually, it's from like their first date or something?!" Bokuto shrugged as his ears grew a little red.
"Oh ok. " Akaashi seemed as if he took nothing of the fact Bokuto just said they were in a relationship but on the inside, he was all over the place. Especially his heart. His heart did 10 backflips in the 10 seconds that passed. "should we text the team? They're probably wondering where we are, it's around lunch break now, so they'll reply."
"Yeah! We probably should!"
"Ok." Akaashi took out his phone and went onto the team group chat.

Yaku: Do you know where Bokuto is?

Akaashi: why would you automatically think that?
Bokuto: Yh
Bokuto: we're not.
"So I guess we're not going to tell the team about us, huh?
" Oh, sorry Kashi. I just-"
"I'm kidding. But on this topic, can we keep this on the down-low? It's just I haven't really told anyone, um-"
Oh, yeah, yeah! It's ok."
Kuroo: How do we know, Akaashi??
Kuroo: Well
Kuroo: The last time you didn't come to practice, Bokuto legit almost had a panic attack.
He was so worried, it was actually the funniest thing!
Kuroo: Like, everyone on the team knows you guys have a crush on each other
Osamu: KUROO!
Kooru: wait-
Kooru: Have they confessed yet?!
Osamu: oml
Atsumu: EXPOSED!!
Osamu: Shut up Atsumu
Atsumu: Meeeaannn
Osamu: You have been hanging out with Oikawa too much.
Bokuto: What?!! KUROO, THAT'S NOT TRUE?!
" Was it really that obvious, Bokuto?"
"I didn't think so."
"So, you admit you had a crush on me?"
"Well, yeah. I thought we established that when we kissed. hm?" Bokuto batted his eyelashes fake-innocently.
"I honestly thought you didn't really like me as a friend."
"What?! Why would you think that?!"
"I don't know." Akaashi shrugged I'm weird."
"You're not."
"Hmm. Did you know I liked you?"
"No way. Not going to lie, I wish I did a lot sooner." Akaashi smirked.
"Why's that?"
"I would have said I liked you, too a lot sooner."
" I'm sorry. I just thought you wouldn't like me."
"It's impossible for that to ever happen! For anyone! You're like the smartest, prettiest person like ever!"
Akaashi giggled. " You really think that?"
"Of course!"
Atsumu: It was very obvious.
Atsumu: Why do I get the feeling we knew before you two did
Atsumu: Also, sorry for the exposition.
Atsumu: But not really. Someone had to tell even if it wasn't you guys who said to each other.
Akaashi: Actually, we already confessed.
Akaashi: Last night
Bokuto: AKAASHI?!
Akaashi: You are right next to me why are you texting me?
Kuroo: OHOHOHO!
Yahaba: Admitting it
Akaashi: Whatever
Bokuto: u were here, Yahaba??
Yabaha: yea
Yahaba: I kinda like to just sit back and enjoy the tea.
Akaashi: There is no tea to spill
Yahaba: Unfortunately not, because everyone already knew you were simping over each other.
Yahaba: It was very obvious
Yahaba: But it was fun to see you deny it until you could take no more.
Akaashi: whatever
A/n Ok, so I know this was a weird chapter but yeah. Also, I didn't portray the characters in the team exactly how they are in the show but they are barely in Haikyuu so yeah.
btw if you don't know what Haikyuu is and you are just like wth is she talking about then, it's an anime and that is where the characters are from.
