A/n Alright, so I put this in for a reason, and at a point in the book, I will tell you when to listen to it. Btw, this is a BRGR version and if you want to hear the original, the song is called ' in another life '. So you can imagine why that song was the one I chose.

Bokuto woke up under the comfort of Akaashi laying beside him sleeping peacefully. Bokuto's worries melted away for a second until the memory of last night came flooding in flowing like water. Bokuto was getting out of bed when he felt a tight grasp around his hand and he gasped loudly. " Bokuto?" Akaashi asked without energy. "oh, I'm sorry for waking you, Kashi."

"Hm? Yeah, it's fine.  Are you ok? Because of last night I just-" Akaashi stopped when he noticed Bokuto staring down on the bed avoiding eye contact with him. Akaashi reached his hand out and put his hand on Bokuto's cheek and pushed his chin upwards to meet his eyes. " Hey."
"Yeah, I'm fine." Akaashi frowned. Bokuto sighed. " Let's just say, there was a reason I didn't want my dad to know...  I was always going to tell him at some point but..."
"I get it. I still need to tell my parents." Akaashi sighed. Akaashi removed his hand from Bokuto's face.
"I'll be right there with you when it happens. I promise." Akaashi smiled lightly. He expected it to be a fake one, but it appeared on his face so naturally. It was a real smile.

They stopped for a minute and heard voices from downstairs. It was their mothers and Akaashi's dad. They went downstairs to see the commotion. "What happened yesterday, Anzu?" Akaria asked concerned. She let Bokuto and Anzu stay just by looking at their worn-out crying faces and Bokuto's bruised arm and face which Bokuto had treated by Akaria. That's just who she was. She didn't need an explanation to be kind.

                                                                *flashback to last night*

Akaashi walked in with the two. " What happened?" Akaria asked. from the corner of Guni's eyes, he noticed what was happening and walked over. Akaria got a glimpse of Bokuto's black eye and welcomed them in. "Can they stay?" Asked Akaashi. " of course. Anzu, you can stay in the guest bedroom. Bokuto is the couch alright?"
"That's alright. He can stay in my room."
"Ok, honey." Akaria pulled Bokuto to the dining room and sat him down and treated him with medical care.

                                                                             *end of flashback*

Akaashi and Bokuto walked into the room. " Well-" Anzu started unsure what to say. She knew Akaashi hadn't come out yet and didn't want to expose them. She didn't want this to be how Akaria found out. " I came into the room t see Minato being abusive. I packed their bags I didn't know where else to bring them. Sorry, it was so sudden. I know I should've texted." Akaashi interrupted. He didn't like lying. I'm not technically lying. I'm just not saying the full truth... he kept telling himself. I can't. I can. But no. Not yet. Akaria nodded apologetically. "You can stay for as long as you like. You know that."
"Thank you. But I hate to be such a burden. We'll be heading out soon. Going to a hotel, probably."
"Nonsense! you're unsteady. My husband and I are at an appropriate time to support you now. Plus, I know Bokuto would love to spend more time with Akaashi. So would Akaashi." The two who were mentioned blushed. " Well then, Bokuto can stay. I'll go."
"Stop. Stay." Guni budged into the conversation.
 Anzu sighed. "Alright."
Akaria chuckled in victory. Anzu didn't like being pitied but pushed it away. She was grateful.

They all sat down and ate breakfast through the awkward silence.  Guni got up after eating for a couple of minutes. And Bokuto watched in awe as he for once was not the first to finish, astonished. Well, he was picking at it slowly, remembering what Anzu always reminded him about when he ate with others. The word ' manners' echoed through his mind. " Bokuto, it's alright you can eat at your usual speed," Akaashi said breaking the tense silence. Bokuto's eyes beamed while Anzu glared at him then sighed. " Yes, Koutarou." Akaria said chuckling." Excuse my laughing. It's just that I know someone like that." She said looking at Guni with a sarcastic stare. Guni laughed awkwardly and nervously feeling the wrath of all eyes on him. " She constantly reminds me to slow down when there are others."
"My mother's the same." Bokuto chuckled as Anzu rolled her eyes." Yes, whatever." She remarked chuckling. Bokuto quickly finished his food and a few minutes later, so did Anzu followed by Akaashi then Akaria.

Later-- 12:00

" Bokuto, I understand if you don't want to come with me but...I need to our house to pick up a few things from our-- Minato's house." Bokuto gasped.  " No, I'll come. I need to get a few things, too."
"Do you want me to come with you, Bokuto?"

"I- yes." Akaashi smiled as he got into his room and changed then came back out hearing his mom say something to Bokuto's. " You can use my car."

"No, because I need to get mine. I can have it since I paid for the whole of it."

"Alright." They got to Bokuto's past house and luckily, Minato was not home. They walked into the house and saw empty alcohol bottles standing on the island. Bokuto couldn't help but feel like his father deserved to feel this depressed. If he didn't want things like this to happen, then maybe he should have learned to love, not have such high expectations, understanding love was the main concept. People could love whoever. It was uncalled for to him.

A/n by the way, I forgot Anzu and Minato are supposed to have 2 other kids so I'm dropping it. They have an only child. Bokuto.

Anzu left divorce papers on the island for Minato to sign. And they were out of there in a flash. They drove back. Anzu was starting the car then turned on the radio and that's when a song caught Akaashi's attention. In another life...

A/ play the song now.

Tears strolled down Akaashi's face his heart racing, hands shaking. And yes, Bokuto was sleeping presently. Akaashi would make sure Bokuto never went a sleepless night. No matter what. "Akaashi, what's wrong?" Akaashi only hugged him in return but suddenly he pulled away when realizing he was in public and Anzu was in the car. " Don't let me interrupt." She chuckled behind her hand.  Akaashi fell back onto Bokuto. Bokuto choked on his heart. "Akaashi?"
"Don't ever leave me," he whispered.
"What? I'd never."
"And...don't die on me."
" I have to die at some point, Akaashi."
Akaashi took hold of Bokuto's hand and squesed it. " No! No! Don't say that. " Akaashi said no longer whispering
"But like, when I have white hair and when I'm too old!" passing back to the pattern of whispering.
"Yeah...when you're older. Just...make sure you sleep every night."
"Akaashi, you know I can't."
"Well, do. While you still can." There it was. Akaashi was saying that again and Bokuto wondered why.

" Ok, Akaashi. I love you."

"I love you, too."

A/n Hope you like that and can I just say, who else cried when reading in another life like- I can't. I almost cried listening to the song. It's just the memories...
