July
~
I sped down the highway, into Santo Padre territory. I needed to take my mind off of Chibs and his commands. I had turned into the small parking lot of the Mayans' clubhouse. "Jules?" A voice rang out. "EZ." I breathed as I walked up and kissed him. His hands had delicately found their way up to either side of my neck as he deepened our kiss. He pulled back to look at me. "Mh, I wanna take you out. On a date. On a real date." He smiled. "Yes." I nodded. "Yeah?" He asked. "Yes, let's do it." I laughed as he picked me up and spun me around happily. "Ok. Uh, I know the perfect spot." He beamed. "Ok. But first I really need to talk to your dad." I said, he stared at me for a moment as he tried to study my mood. "Yeah, sure. No problem." He smiled. "Kid." A voice rang from the porch. "We got a club meeting." He said. "Hey. It's uh, Jax's kid sister, yeah?" He asked me. "Yeah. July Teller." I nodded. "Huh, surprised they haven't patched you yet." He laughed slightly. "Yeah, well, they don't allow women as any members." I replied. "A damn shame if you ask me." He laughed. "Yeah." I replied. "Hey, well it's great to see you doll." He smiled. "Yeah, you too." I said. "You mind heading over to pops while I try to finish up?" He asked. "Yeah, not a problem." I laughed, as he smiled and quickly pecked my lips. I smiled as we watched each other walk away. He walked into the club while I started up my bike. "Great." I sighed. I headed out of the parking lot to a store. A local butcher shop on a small street.

Chibs words kept ringing in my ears. As I sat numbly, parked across the street of the store. "So, I got a call this morning. Anything you're interested in sharing with me?" He asked. "No." I hummed. "Hm, well that's funny love. 'Cause it seems to me like you're out seeing dead men." He said. A glimpse of Jax had my head spinning, he was leaning against the wall in the corner of the room behind Chibs, who was currently sitting in front of me. "Lass." He asked firmly. "Are you seeing Jax." His eyes intently staring into mine. I swallowed quietly. "No." I replied. My gaze had focused in on the blonde, while still staring at Chibs. "Jule." He replied. "I don't." I said defensively. "Well that's good. 'Cause it'd be a real problem for you, and for my club, if you did." He sighed. "I'm not fucking crazy Chibs." I said. "I didn't say you were, love." He replied. The tension in the room was building. "But you don't believe me." I questioned. He had only stared at me. "Yeah I crashed my bike. So what? It's not like I'm dead." I said. "Aye. And I'm thankful for that, love." He said. "But you've got to be more careful." I sighed. "I know. And it won't happen again." I said. "And if it does?" He asked. "It won't." I spat. "I can take that reaper tat on the back of your neck right off. Don't try me, lass" he said. "I think you do see him. In fact, I think he's in this fuckin' room right now." He said, his expression was dark. "You can't prove it." I said. He laughed. "You're not welcome, not anymore. Get the fuck out, now." He ordered. "And I'll be coming for that reaper, love." He replied. I had angrily slammed the door and stormed to the main room. I glanced over at dad for a moment before I tore my gaze away. I angrily jumped onto my bike. I had fixed up most of the damage myself during the night, not going back home to sleep. As good as it could be. "Fuck this place." I muttered as I drove off. I had been ripped away from all of my thoughts as a bike approached. EZ had revved his engine at me. Smiling as he parked in the front of the shop. "Hey beautiful, you got a boyfriend!" He called from the other side of the street, his laugh was evident. "Oh honey, I don't need one when I can cut your throat myself." I had played along. A man stood at the doorway. "Oh. Uh, hey pop." Ez said. "Mh." The man hummed in reply, he eyed me in almost the same manner as Chibs had. "This is July, pop." Ez said as I walked up and stood by his side. "Yeah. I see." He replied. "Nice to meet you, sir." I greeted. "You too." He stated. "Um, I have a few things to do today, so is it alright if she stays a while?" He asked. "Sure. It's not a problem, as long as she stays out of my way, got it." He asked. I nodded and smiled slightly. "Ok. You can just go inside, and I'll be back soon, ok?" Ez smiled at me as he leaned down, I savored the soft feeling of his lips on mine. He pulled away and started his bike back up. I stood as he left. "You wanna help me out." Pops asked. "Of course, sir." I smiled. "Call me Felipe. Please." He replied. A memory quickly hit me. I was digging through Happy's closet for a paper. A large envelope filled with pictures and papers had been neatly tucked away. "Marisol Reyes"
"Felipe Reyes."
"Holy shit." I breathed quickly. "Mija, you okay?" He asked, I let out a shaky breathe as I nodded to him. "Sorry." I said as I deeply inhaled and pulled myself together. "It was just a rough morning." I laughed. "Hm." He had hummed again. He wasn't much of a talker. Happy had raised me for the past 8 years, when Jax couldn't. I knew he wouldn't parent me when Abel had come into our lives. I was already 17, almost out of high school. I sighed at the memory, at my life. Hap had tried his best to be my role model. I loved the club. But I also loved EZ. I heard him pull up. "Hey, you ready." He smiled. "Yeah." I replied. "We can take my bike." He stated. "What about mine?" I asked. "Oh, well. We'll come back." He said. "I'd rather ride mine." I obliged. "Hey. Here, take the truck." Felipe said as he tossed EZ his keys. "Yeah?" He asked me. "Yeah." I said as I smiled. "We'll be back later pops."
