A/N: it's been a LONG time, I finally figured out which direction I want this book to go down. Bare with me please.
Jax
~
I knew I had to end this. The road that the club was going down. A path that my father tried to push away from. I went down my list of people to kill. To cleanse the earth of. My mother was one of those people. I broke down. "Jax?" July knocked on my door. "Yeah." I breathed. Her face popped in as she stepped inside and closed the door before locking it quickly. "What? What's wrong?" I asked quickly, alarmed, I went for my nightstand where I kept a pistol. "No." She ordered. I looked over at her from where I was on my side, reaching. "It's not about that." She started, "it's- it's about dad." She sighed, after she sat down on the bed next to me. "Who? Happy?" I asked, "no. Dad." She said. John. I realized. "What's going on sis." I asked, turning intently toward her. "He left me a box of tapes, in my car." She said. "What? When?" I asked her, confused. "I'm not sure, but we need to listen to them all, together." She said. "Ok." I nodded, "If that's what he wanted." She took my hand in hers. "What do we do." She asked. "We listen to the tapes. Figure out his message. What he wanted both of us to know." She said. I sighed, nodding. I grabbed a cassette player from the bottom of my closet. "Let's go grab 'em then, huh?" I asked as I stood up, taking her hand and pulling her to the door. "Where are you off to." Happy asked, she looked at me. "We'll be back. It's a personal matter." I spat slightly mad, hoping if he saw the shitty mood I was in he'd back off. He gave a slight frown as he held his hands up and backed away from us. "You always gotta be pissed for some reason?" She asked, full humor in her tone. "Oh, you know I never bite." I smirked over at her. She shoved me playfully in the parking lot. Laughing we got to her car, in the backseat sat a shoebox with a ribbon thrown to the side of the seat, like she had quickly ripped it open. "He said there are 13 total, I only see 12 tapes." She stated. "Should we start from 12?" I asked. "No, it wouldn't make any sense." She said as she searched through and found the tape with a "1" sloppily written in marker. "Ok, here we go." I sighed. I popped it into the player and listened. "It's a rock song?" I asked obviously. "Listen." She said as she fast forwarded the tape. Silence. Then I heard that comforting tone he had always used. "Hello. My name is John Teller. These tapes have been made for my two children, Jackson Teller. And- baby girl Teller. Sorry darlin' I'm not sure what your name would have been, I really liked July, so- from now on- that's what I'm gonna call you. My Julie-bug." He said. His voice sent chills to my core, I wasn't sure I would ever hear it again. "My two children, just know, I love you both, you're here. And know that I'm at peace with Thomas." He said, I didn't realize I had tears freely flowing, July held her head in her hands as she sobbed into them. I held my hand against her shoulder trying to bring her some sort of comfort. She sobbed as we both were emotional. I was the older brother, protecting her was my responsibility. I let her jump into my lap in the passenger seat and I rocked her back and forth while we had cried.

"How about we listen to the last two tapes instead sweetheart." I asked, she nodded, as I had popped in tape 12. We skipped through the rock song. "There." She said as we listened to the static of the change between the song and waiting for his voice to appear. I breathed heavily, trying to control my emotions. "Hi again you two." He laughed, his voice rang through my ears like a soft lullaby. Comforting. "My vision was clear. Although it wasn't agreed with by everyone." He said. "There's this one saying I love. It goes something like this." He spoke."There's this cabin in the mountains, occupied by 4. A husband, A wife, A son, and a daughter. One of the 4 led another to Slaughter. A bullet in one's back, and pushed in a lake. This one of the 4 would be making a mistake. The one had returned to the cabin, followed by another. A wife. A son, and a daughter, the kids who would be forced to love their new step-father." He said, his voice full of pain, anger.
(A/N: yes it is an insight to a death that I made up, I didn't like the whole "suicide by a semi-truck" bit ..🙃🤷♀️)
"A cabin?" July asked. "I don't know any cabin's that we went to." I said confused, I kept trying to think of one. "A cabin. A cabin in the mountains." I repeated. I had a quick flashback of a lit fireplace as John was crouched down, a huge smile on his face as I ran into his open arms. "Shit." I breathed. "What? What is it?" She asked. "I do know the Cabin, big bear. Right near the lake." I sighed. "Oh, Jesus." She breathed as she tried not to cry again. "I knew something happened between dad and clay. I just didn't think it was dad's murder." I said, my breathing was shaky, I couldn't think straight. "We let him in! He was here the whole time!- in our house!- at the club!- he was fucking our mom!- What do we do Jax? What do we do?!" She sobbed as she ranted in my arms. I didn't have an answer, honestly I wasn't so sure what to do this time. I just held her head tightly into my chest as she sobbed. I was crying again as well. The vision of him crouched down with a huge grin on his face, his arms were spread wide open, ready to embrace me. I was only 4 when that happened.
{A/N: pic above for slight reference}I sobbed, as the vision replayed in my head. She had her arms wrapped around me, comforting me as well. I rested my head on top of hers. We sat there in that car with her on my lap for- hours. I had ended up falling asleep sometime later. "Hey man, I've been trying to call- woah, you guys alright?" Dean asked as he took in the scene, my sister was wrapped on my lap, while both of our eyes were red. "Fine, man. Just going through shit." I breathed out a laugh. "I feel ya there." He replied. "What's up, you good?" I asked, he looked out of it, "hm. Oh, yeah I'm- fine." He said quickly. "It's a long story." I said, "I should get her inside, it's dark out now." I sighed. He helped me open the door as he quietly took her into his arms before passing her back to me once I'd got out of the car, I carried her bridal style into a spare room. "She ok?" Dean asked, looking concerned at the wood door like he could see through it. "Yeah, she will be. She's a Teller, she can get through anything." I laughed lightly, it was true, we'd make it past this. I had went out to see Abel at St Thomas, Dean by my side. "Can't believe you got a kid already." He laughed. "Oh I know right? Seems like I'm a kid still." I said, more to myself. A doctor was standing inside the newborn ward. Examining all of the healthy babies. My eyes met his briefly, they held a light, that had slightly worried me. Like a candle in a dark closet, that would turn into a fire if moved wrong. I blinked away our stare down, Dean looked at me curiously. "What's up." He asked, "not sure, that doctor just seemed off to me for a second." I said. "Hm, oh well. Let's go see your kid." He said, as we walked further down the hallway. I just couldn't shake the weird feeling I had about that doctor.
