EZ
~
She's actually mine. I'm floating, as cheesy as that may sound. "Babe." I hummed in her ear, as she packed a bag in my trailer to carry on her bike. She laughed, and leaned into me. I kissed the side of her head slowly. I let myself linger there. Savoring her rose shampoo smelling hair. We heard the screech of tires as we both jumped up, she already had her gun in her hand. God, I was so amazed by this woman. I looked out the window and sighed as I quickly opened my trailer door. "EZ! Thank God! I came as soon as I heard! Are you ok?!" She asked worriedly as she hugged me. "I'm fine, Em. I'm ok." I said as I winced, "shit I'm sorry." She said quickly. "I- uh." Her voice trailed off for a moment. "Oh. I didn't realize you had company." She said quietly. "Emily." July greeted. "July." She said. "I- uh, shouldn't have come." She said as she breathed out a nervous laugh. I stood at her car window once she was inside. July standing out at the trailer steps. "We really got to talk." Emily said quietly. "Yeah. We will. Once I get back from our trip." I said. Her eyes had darted over to the other blonde, standing quietly in front of the trailer. "Yeah. Um, just uh, let me know." She said as she started the car and tore out of the lot. "What was all that?" July asked. "She just wants to talk." I said. "Mhm, talk." She stated. "Yeah, babe. Talk." I replied in a normal tone. She only glanced my way, not saying any more as she threw things inside a bag. "Well where I'm from, talking doesn't mean what it should." She said. "Oh really?" I smirked slightly. "And what does talking mean to you then?" I asked as she turned to me and smiled. She pressed her body to mine as we fell onto my bed, laughing. Let's just say we forgot about packing, for a while. I held her in my arms as we laid there. She had her head on my chest as I stroked her hair fondly. "We gotta go." I mumbled as we got up and I had secured our bags onto our bikes. She looked at peace as she sat on the stair. "Today will be a nice trip." She smiled, "I can't wait to spend it with you." "Neither can I." I chuckled happily. "We should go." I said as she nodded, standing up and walking to her bike. She had strapped on her dark purple helmet and started the motor. "It's not a race." I called, she then flipped me off playfully. "Oh so it's like that." I replied. I quickly jumped on my bike as she was laughing at me to wait. "Sorry! What was that?! I can't hear you over my motor!" I said as I revved my engine for a more dramatic effect. I started to look back at her but a large cloud of dust rose in my path, as she tore her way out through the dirt lot. "Oh no you don't." I mumbled out as I chased after her. We were carefree. Riding side by side. Racing with one another as we tore through the open road ahead. Every now and then I'd let her get ahead of me, her medium long blonde hair whipping behind her. But I guess that was my mistake. A van had made it's way up from behind us, cutting in front of her bike as she had trued to brake. Time felt like it had stopped as the two back doors opened and shots were ringing out. We tried to dodge the flying bullets but we had crashed along the dirt. "EZ!" She yelled out, as her bike to the right of her, dirt had quickly clouded my vision as I too, had to forcefully drop my bike. I couldn't see her. I didn't hear her. "JULY!" I screamed out as I ran back towards her crash site. "BABE?!" I yelled, frantically looking for her. Her blonde form had been clear as most of the dust settled. "Fuck, fuck!" I panicked, as I had dove in and landed slightly near her body. I crawled the rest of the way over to her, turning her from her side onto her back. Blood was sticking on her hair as it coated her gold streaks into red. "Jule?! July?! Baby? Wake up!" I said quickly, trying to gently shake her awake. "Sorry, she ain't gonna wake up." I had heard from behind me. As I turned to look at who the voice was, but everything had quickly went black.
