*Unknown POV*
Rain was pounding heavily on the shattered window of the deserted room through which blood was dripping down and mixing with the puddle of mud. Five hooded silhouettes were surrounding a dead body of a middle-aged woman, one of them holding a knife from which blood was falling on the ground.
"Wasn't I clear about what will bestow if you won't show up for the meeting!? Ruined my house." The man spat, tone deep and filled with bitterness. "Phoenix, clean the place and I hope you all understand what should be done. I'm not going to repeat the plan, any mistake, and you will be next."
"We understood, boss." The man said, "Magnus Bane will not be spared this time."
The man walked towards the rotten couch, sat on it, and picked up the pistol, rotating it between his fingers. "He better not, phoenix. You know we're killing two birds from one stone. Make any mistake and this bullet will be through your skull in no second."
"I assure you, boss. There won't be any mistake."
"Hmm," the man crossed his legs and leaned back, "what's the status of others?"
"Subject 4 has moved to Milan, Black Blood has her eyes on our subject. Subject 2's dose of drugs has been increased to keep its memories from surfacing. And subject 1 has been moved to Canada hospital, condition status, worse than before."
"Good, very good. Keep giving them the drugs, increase the dose if they show the symptoms of recovery. Do not let them live in peace. Now go and get the plan in action."
"Yes, boss." The man turned, held the dead body by legs, and dragged it outside, indicating others to follow his lead.
"Magnus Bane, you have made the wrong choice, and now you'll pay for it."

*Magnus' apartment*
"Maaawwwww!" Queen Elizabeth was trembling as she hid under Magnus' blanket that he had around himself making him chuckle.
"It's okay, Queen Elizabeth, it's just thunder." He stroked her body as she peeked her head out and rubbed it against his naked chest.
"Mew."
"Really now? Don't you have any work other than playing with your cat?" Emmanuel said as he approached the balcony where Magnus was sitting, a beer bottle in one hand and a sandwich in the other.
Magnus' gaze fell on the bottle and a grimace crossed over his face. "Really? First thing in the morning? Even I don't drink that much, officer. And to answer your question, no. Catarina is handling everything well in my absence, so I can relax as much as I want.
"Lucky you, unlucky me," Emmanuel murmured, earning an eye roll from Magnus.
"Look, officer-" he was cut off when the doorbell rang. "Mr. George, please check!"
"It's Mr. Fell and Miss Loss, sir." Came the house helper's reply.
Magnus frowned when he saw both of them approaching the balcony. "Catarina, Ragnor, what are you both doing here?"
"We wanted to see you, Bane. Is that a problem now?" Ragnor said.
"Always overdramatic..." Magnus whispered. "Mr. Stewart, are you going to listen in now?"
