"Uncle Way, where are we?" Alec asked, eyes trailing at every house they passed by that was shining so bright, it stung like a needle. "Where's mom and dad?"
"For the last time, Alec, your family is dead and we're going to your new house!" The man spat with an uninterested tone as he kept driving.
"No, they're not!" Tears fell on his face when that horrible day flashed in front of his eyes. His house burnt down in a fire six months ago and they couldn't find anyone there except him, so they declared them dead. Not gone, not missing, dead. He knew that word meant that his family was a star now, that they were with god but he wanted them back."They're not!"
"Yes, they are! Now be quiet and sit there without any fucking noise! I don't want to hear any words from your throat!" The man screamed and Alec stifled his sob. That man, his uncle Way was supposed to be his new family but since the time he stepped into his house, he wasn't the same, nice uncle Way he knew and loved. "Stupid women! The fuck was she thinking by making me a fucking legal guardian!?"
As they reached the dark end of the road, the man stopped the car and yelled at him to step out as well. With shaking hands, Alec opened the door and stood at the driest part of the otherwise wet road, and covered his mouth when a strong, foul smell filled his nostrils.
"The fuck is he at!?" The man paced. A few minutes in, a tall, scary-looking guy came into view and he sighed. "You're Red Phoenix?"
"Where's the parcel?" The guys asked in a heavy, deep voice.
"Alec! Come here you little shit!" Flinching with the tone he used, Alec ran where he stood, eyes pricking with unshed tears.
"This one? Looks fresh."
"As fresh as you can get. My money?"
"Black Dragon will deliver you after he'd be where he should be. Try to argue and you'd be where his family went. Understood?"
"As clear as crystal." The man said and went back towards the car but when Alec tried to leave as well, he was dragged back and before he could scream, something covered his mouth and the world turned black.
....
"......so what next? You want to kill him or?"
"First get me the status of other subjects Phoenix...."
Faint voices could be heard as Alec slowly opened his eyes and sat up only to cover his ears when a loud engine-like sound made his head throb. There were large boxes all around him, lights were dimmed and faint, the freshwater scent was coming from somewhere.
Peeking a little, he noticed a group of people standing in the room in front and a scary, bald, monster-like man yelling at others. Hiding behind the box when one of them looked in his direction, he almost wet himself. Those big people were scary, very very scary.
Alec had no idea what was going on. The man uncle Way met was here too, but he wasn't nice. He wanted his mom, badly. He missed her. Curling up and burying his head on his knees, he started sobbing when someone gently shook him.
"Alec? You're Alec right?" A soft voice whispered and he looked up.
"Y..yes..." His lips trembled, "but w..who are you?" The girl in front was barely a few years older than him.
