Chapter Twenty

Hola, I could finally make it, when I thought I will not be able to finish writing by tonight :D

I kind of liked and didnt like this update. This is generally not my style, but I went with the flow, so let me know if its upto the mark.

Guys, the corona cases are increasing at an exponential rate. Please stay home and dont step out until unless necessary and always keep your masks on and sanitize your hands frequently if you are outside. Dont take the situation lightly, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

"What are you wearing?" Manik asked pinning Nandini to the door as soon as they were inside the room.

"Manik, it's a frock, cant you see. Its so cute na" she said and twirled around freeing herself from his grip.

"Its good, but why did you wear this today, we are going out naa" he whined and she smirked.

"That is exactly why I wore this. Its so hot and this one fits the weather perfectly" she said and tried to walk out of the room, but he didn't let her go past him.

"Nandu, don't test my patience, change your clothes" he demanded and she frowned at his tone.

"Oh hello mister, don't you dare use that tone with me. I am wearing this and that's final" she said and looked away. Manik sighed and decided to talk to her in a calm tone, ordering Nandini Murthy was equal to calling for a death wish.

"Nandu, please change na baby, you can wear it if its only us, like our friends and family, I don't have any problem, but I don't like the way boys will stare at you if you step out wearing that" he said and the frown on her forehead deepened.

"Then Manik, I cant do anything for that that naa. Even if I wear something or not, they will stare at me. Its not about the clothes, its about the garbage in their heads. I really liked this dress and just because there are some douchebags outside, I cant wear what I want, you tell me if that's fair" she demanded and Manik sighed.

"What you are saying is 100% right, I will not ask you to change, but just stay close to me okay? I don't want anyone's filthy eyes on my baby" he said possessively and she kissed his cheeks in response making him smile.

"Remember one thing Manik, being possessive and protective is good, but not to an extent where we have to compromise on our freedom. Understand?" she said cupping his cheeks and he nodded his head in a yes making her smile.

"My acha bacha" she said and kissed him.

"Seriously? Acha bacha?" he asked glaring at her and she giggled more. Pulling his cheeks she tried to push him and move out of the room, but he pulled her back.

"Ab kya hai Manik? Lets go na, I am hungry" she said getting irritated.

"Give me my kiss and then you are free to go" he said in a stubborn tone making her sigh.

"Fine close your eyes and no cheating okay?" she said pointing her finger towards him and he closed his eyes like an obedient student. She tip toed and blew air on his face, making a shiver pass down his spine. Seductively tracing her finger from his forehead and stopping it just above his lips, she traced the outline and first kissed the mole above his lips and before he could react, she pushed him and ran out of the room laughing all the way.

It took couple of seconds for Manik to figure out what she did and he groaned in frustration running his hands in his hair.

"This girl" he muttered to himself and walked out of the room. To his annoyance, Nandini was sitting next to Aryaman and on her other side was Navya. And how could Aryaman leave this great chance of teasing Manik

"Nandu let me feed you today, unlike your unromantic boyfriend" he said and Nandini looked down and blushed hearing the word 'unromantic' the mornings events flashed in front of her like a video and she blushed more making Manik smirk.

"Acha, ask her to say the same thing?" he challenged Aryaman who turned to Nandini.

"Are Nandu, are you sick? Why is your face so red?" he shouted gaining everyone's attention making Nandini more cautious. She got up from her chair and ran to Manik, hiding herself in his arms making him laugh and everyone look at her as if she had grown two heads at her act.

"Breakfast kare?" Manik asked her still in the hug and she nodded her head in a yes.

"Toh leave me and let me walk to the table" he said trying to break the hug but she didn't let him.

"Nandu, he is not running away anywhere, you can leave him" Cabir said and everyone laughed at his comment.

"Chup be! Don't say anything to my baby" Manik dismissed him and they heard lots of 'Oooo's' from the gang making Nandini hold Manik tighter, almost crushing him in her hold.

"Ouch yaar" he said trying to push her but she didn't budge.

"Nandini" he warned her and she pouted looking up at his face making him smile at her cuteness. He cupped her face and asked in a loving tone

"What happened baby? Why so cranky today?" he said and she made a puppy face.

"Nai pata, pamper me today bus!" she said in a childish tone making him smile wider.

"Anything for my lazy panda" Manik said with a naughty smile and without giving her time to react, he picked her up in bridal style making her squeal in fear.

"Manik" she said and hit his shoulder, which he shrugged off and walked towards the table. He sat down making her sit in his lap and served breakfast for them in one plate and fed her with his own hands, making all the girls go 'aww' at his gesture.

"See and learn something" Arushi said slapping the back of Aryaman's head making him wince in pain and all the girls followed the suit. Boys were throwing angry glares at Manik already planning ways to torture him for making them look like fools.

After getting done with breakfast with lots of bickering they decided to visit the Dudhsagar waterfalls. Everyone carried a pair of clothes with them and left the farmhouse.

They had tonnes of fun at the waterfalls, which included Cabir Nandini Dhruv Abhi Aryaman Soha and Arushi dancing crazily under the water making everyone laugh their guts out. The swimming race between the couples, followed by the girls Vs boys. After having lot of fun, and a late lunch they returned almost during the sunset. Without bothering to change, as they had already freshened up after the dip in waterfalls, everyone decided to walk to the beach that was at a walkable distance from their farmhouse and enjoy the sunset.

After coming back and having light dinner everyone retired to their respective rooms as they were tired with the whole journey and they had to pack everything as they were leaving in the afternoon the next day.

Packing their bags and setting the alarm's, everyone drifted off to sleep with huge smiles on their faces, remembering the fun filled day and a much needed holiday.
