Nandini ignored the person shooting daggers at her with her looks and hugged the person standing next to her.

"I missed you so much Appa, accha why didn't you tell me you were coming?" she asked side hugging him completely ignoring her mother.

"It was a surprise" he said hitting her forehead with his finger making her pout.

"Wait, I will go and call Mom Dad, Dadu and Dj" she said trying to escape, but Shalini had already caught her ear making Nandini yelp in pain.

"Amma, please, its hurting, leave it naa" Nandini started shouting dramatically and loudly making her father and Mukti laugh.

"When will you grow up? What were you doing standing on the table? Did you alteast think twice before doing so? What if you would have slipped from there?" Shalini spoke non-stop and Nandini made a bad face.

"Vo you see that monkey standing there, she was chasing me. I had no where to go, that is why I had to climb the table" she threw all the blame towards Mukti, who was enjoying the scene in front of her till then.

"Hawww liar, aunty, she was the one who started all this. She took my phone when I was talking to Abhi and started sending weird messages to him, from my phone" Mukti gave Nandini a challenging look, crossing her hands on her chest.

"Acha, Amma you know what you should see the messages he is sending her. Hawwww, one shameless monkey he is" Nandini added extra effects, making Mukti turn red in anger and embarrassment.

"Nandu, I am warning you" Mukti said taking a step towards the Murthy's

"Huh, as if I am scared of you" Nandini replied in a duh tone.

"Enough now both of you, time up!" Nandini's father interrupted seeing the banter not coming to a stop.

"She started it" both the girls said it together and turned their face in the other direction.

"Fine, deal with it. Let me go and meet Nyonika and Mom, you guys carry on" Shalini said and walked towards the kitchen to surprise her best friend. But Nyonika bet her to it, hearing Nandini and Mukti's voices, she walked out of the kitchen and she squealed in happiness, seeing her best friend standing there.

"Shalini, when did you come and why didn't you guys inform us, someone would have come to the airport to pick you up" she said hugging Shalini.

"Maa, Papa, Shalini and Kishore bhaiya are here" Nyonika called the older couple loudly, who hurriedly came out of their room listening the news.

"What a pleasant surprise beta, always stay happy" Dj said blessing them when the couple bent to touch the elder Malhotra's feet.

"Haan Maa, actually it was a sudden plan. Manik had called us two days back asking us to come here to spend some time, so we wrapped up the important work and here we are" Kishore said in a cheerful tone making everyone smile. Nandini had the brightest smile on her face. She immediately searched for her cell and dropped a message for Manik

"I love you so much"

"Does Raj know that you guys are coming?" Nyonika asked after they had settled down for lunch.

"No one except Manik knew about this, as it was his plan. He talks to us regularly unlike someone" Shalini indirectly taunted her daughter who just showed her tongue to her mother in reply.
