Okay, I know I am late for a Sunday update, but I had a terrible migrane and couldnt get myself to write anything from morning.

A warning before hand, this chapter thought very long, has very less MaNan, but a new twist is coming up and the foundation lays in this update. So I hope you like it.

"Nandu, is something bothering you?" Manik asked as they sat cuddled up after lunch on a weekend. Nandini was sitting in between Manik's legs and his hands were tightly wrapped around her waist.

"Nothing much, just regular exam stress" she said shrugging her shoulders.

"Pakka?" he asked not satisfied with her answer, "Haan baba. Don't worry" she said with a smile, and he let it go. He had other ways of finding out if she was fine or not, a stubborn Nandini is very difficult to deal with.

"Okay, Mom was getting worried, because you are eating and sleeping less. Baby you know right, if anything is bothering you, you can share it with any of us." He said running his fingers in her hair. Nandini didn't speak anything but turned to face him and rested her head on his heart, wrapping her hands around him. Manik pulled her closer and understood that she needed time to share with him, and he respected that. Placing a kiss on the top of her head, he asked her "Do you want to go out?" she nodded her head in a No.

"Okay, that's new, how about movie ?" he asked again and she nodded her head in a Yes, making him smile.

"Which one?" he asked and she said "Finding Dory" with a smile, which reflected on his face too.

"Okay, anything to eat?" he asked and she nodded in a No. He set the laptop and pulled her to his lap again, holding her close to himself. He rested his head on top of hers and started watching the movie. Halfway through, he felt all her weight on him and he peeped to see, and she was sleeping, holding him so tight as if her life dependent on it.

He stopped the movie and closed the laptop with his free hand and made her lay down on the bed properly, pulling her close to him, cuddling her. Nandini moved closer as if moving into him. "Sleep my baby" he said patting her head, and hummed a song, making her smile in sleep.

He pulled out his phone and without moving an inch and messaged Cabir

"Bro, you free?"

"Haan bolna" came Cabir's immediate reply.

"Did you talk to Navya? Is everything alright in college?"

"Yeah, she's fine. I spoke to her just a while back. She was preparing for some assignment. Why are you asking?"

"Nothing serious yaar, Nandini seems a little off these days. I have a feeling that somethings not right"

"Achaaaaa, let me ask Navya, if she knows anything. I'll let you know once I talk to her"

"Thanks bro"

"Kya yaar Manik, mujhe thanks bol raha hai, baap hu mai tera"

"Saale, chup and let me know, when you know something, bye"

"What are you hiding baby" Manik asked to a sleeping Nandini, who just pouted at the disturbance caused due to her hair falling on her face. Manik tucked her hair behind her ear and kissed her cheek.

"Manik sone do naa" she mumbled sleepily when he placed another kiss on her cheek.

"Mera accha baby, sleep, I will not sidturb you anymore" he said pulling her close and she sighed and was asleep within minutes.
