Chapter Twenty Four

Okay, so I observed that there was a little confusion regarding couple of things, let me clear it. First there will be no pregnancy track. Second, Manik is doing his internship now, duration of which is 6 months. After his internship, he will move to London for his Masters. Nandini is in her final year MBBS now, so she has one more year left. After she is done with her education, Manan will get married and Nandini will do her internship from London, and Manik will continue with his studies. I hope it makes sense now. And one more important thing, all of them are not doing their MBBS, if you guys remember, Abhi, Aliya and Dhruv are in different streams, but Medical related.

Cabir, Manik, Aryaman, Harshad - MBBS - will be joining their internship in Malhotra's hospital.

Abhi - BDS (Dental Studies) - will be joining his internship in Malhotra's hospital, Dental department.

Aliya and Dhruv - Bio Technology - will be joining their internship in a Bio-Pharma company.

Life Line Hospitals – Mumbai

It was the first day of internship for Manik, Cabir, Harshad and Aryaman along with few others who had joined this program along with them. First they were given a tour of the hospital, then they had orientation followed by a briefing about the specific department that they had chosen.

They were informed that first they would be trained in general for 3 months, and then they could move to their choosen specializations, this way they could explore other options and people who had not decided on what they are good at will also get time and the chance to see where they are good at.

They were divided in groups of five, and were introduced to their mentors. Manik and Aryaman were in the same group along with 3 others, whereas Harshad, and Cabir were in the same group with 3 others as well. They introduced themselves to their other team members and were chitchatting during their short break. Manik's group had Riya Chatterjee, Myra Mishra and Rajat Kundra. Aryaman was flirting with Riya as she was really the cute and talkative one, whereas Myra was a shy girl, contrast to them Rajat was a little arrogant guy, but he knew when to stop. Manik sighed as the break ended, as much as he was enjoying his first day, but he was also missing Nandini.

He texted her before the break ended, but he assumed she was sleeping, when she didn't reply. Thinking to call her during the lunch break, he focussed back on the speaker, who was talking about their duties and responsibilities as a Doctor, what to do and what not during the working hours. The session went on for the next 2 hours when they took break for lunch.

The first thing Manik did was taking his cell out of his pocket and called Nandini.

"How was it?" was her first question when she accepted the call making him smile.

"Its going good so far. We are divided in groups...." He told her everything that happened till now while following everyone to the Cafeteria.

"What are the food options available there? If there is nothing good, manage for today and from tomorrow you can take lunch and snacks from home" she said pouting thinking about how she was not with him.
