Manik woke up around late afternoon, and felt Nandini's one hand wrapped around him and the other one caressing his hair.

"Manik, wake up. Time for lunch" she said kissing his cheek and hugging him close to his chest. Manik just hmme'd in reply and hugged her tighter. He nuzzled his face in the space between her neck and shoulder, making goose bumps form on her skin.

"Manik" she whispered his name, when he placed a kiss on her sweet spot and nipped the skin there, making a shiver pass down her spine.

"Manik, wake up and eat something" she said trying to push him, but he dint let her. Placing feather kisses from behind her ear to her neck, till her shoulder. He gave a deep bite on her collarbone, making her moan his name. wrapping her arms around his neck, Nandini pulled him closer, arching her neck, unknowingly giving him further access. Manik smiled at her reactions and stopped his tortures. He rested his head on her shoulder and pulled Nandini under himself. He was half laying on her, taking deep breaths to control himself.

"Lets go and eat something, hmm. Mom and Amma are waiting for you. Amma made your favourite food" she told him after few minutes of silence. Getting up, he rubbed his palms on his face, trying to brush off his sleep.

"Freshen up and come down okay?" Nandini said and Manik nodded his head walking towards the washroom.

Post a heavy and sumptuous lunch, Manik was in his room, laying on the bed, with his head in Nandini's lap. Nandini was running her fingers in his hair, humming something browsing her Instagram.

"Nandu" he called her and she looked at him. "When do your classes start?" he asked her with a frown on his forehead.

"Its Wednesday today, my classes start from Monday" she said kissing his forehead, clearing the frown that formed there.

"Okay" he said and fell silent again.

"How's work Manik? Do you like it?" Nandini asked and Manik had a smile on his face.

"Yes I am loving it. You know the patient, for whom I had stayed back last night. He was very critical when he came in, but then we operated on him, I assisted the surgery. He was critical, but then he was stable for sometime. Then his condition got worse, he coded last night, but we brought him back. And I had just followed up with the hospital, he is more stable now it seems." He said with a bright smile and continued "You know Nandu, we have so much responsibility on our hands, to save someone, who is a part of a family, just like we are a part of ours." He said and smiled, making Nandini smile as well. she just kissed his cheek, in response.

"Sleep for sometime" she said and he hmmed. Digging his face in her stomach, nuzzling his face there, he kissed her belly button, making her tremble at his gesture.

"Stay" he said and she whispered back a Yes.

Manik woke up 4 hours later, fresh as a flower. He saw that Nandini had slept, in the sitting position, with her one hand in his hair and the other hand wrapped around him, holding him close. Manik smiled at her gesture. He slowly got up and made her lay down properly. Hugging her close, he called her name after 20 minutes.

Nandini was unresponsive as usual making Manik chuckle. Shacking her up, Manik shouted loudly

"Nandu, Amma is calling you. she said if you don't come down in the next 5 minutes, she will not give you food for dinner" he said dramatically, and that was the cue for Nandini

"Maa I'm up and I'm hungry" Nandini said lazily, sitting on the bed with her eyes still closed. And on not getting any reply, she opened her one eye, she said Manik, who was trying really hard to not laugh. Understanding his prank, Nandini picked up the pillow and threw on him, which he dodged.

"Get up sleepy head. Its evening, lets go down now. Freshen up" he said and walked into the washroom.

They spent some quality time with the family, followed by a hearty dinner. Manik slept again somewhere around mid-night, talking to Nandini. He was up and running like everyday the next day and reached the hospital on time.
