Shock was the only expression I now see in the face of Mitchicko when I said that 'I've decided to quit being an Assassin'to her.

Then she suddenly stood up and come near me. "P-Payne-chan.." panimula niya habang umiiling-iling. ".. Why? Why so sudden?" She asked confusely.

I cleared my throat before answering her. "I want to change my lifestyle Mitchicko, I want to stop killing.. I want a new peaceful life. At, ayokong 'Mamatay tao' ang tingin ng iba sa akin lalong-lalo na si Nyegie." I said and I think she understand me now.

"P-Pero Payne-chan.. How about the KAPES? Our group? Who will lead us there if you will quit?" - tanong niya. Binigyan ko naman siya ng konting ngiti.

"Don't worry, I will personally and formally say my Goodbye to them. For KAPES, I already have a person in my mind right now who is rightful to be the Next Leader in the group." - I said then her two eyebrows met each other.

"Hindi na ba kita mapipigilan Payne-chan?" - ramdam ko naman ang kalungkutan niya sa kanyang boses ng sinabi niya iyon.

I shake my head for an Answer. "No, buo na ang pasya ko Mitchi."

Marahan naman siyang tumango. "Sa totoo lang talaga Payne-chan, I disagree on your decision. Kasi para sa akin, ikaw lang ang nararapat na Leader ng KAPES. To think that everyone in our group are all killers but still, they fear and respect you." Huminga ito ng malalim at ngumiti ng sinsero. "But, I respect your desicions and all I want also is your hapiness." Napangiti ako sa sinabi niya. "Come here.." I said kaya lumapit pa siya sa akin.

I give her a tight hug na hindi ko talaga ginagawa. Ramdam ko naman ang pagkabigla niya dahil doon pero ilang sandali lang din ay niyakap niya din ako pabalik. "Thank you mitchi.." I sincerely said to her ears.

"It's a no problem for me that Payne-chan." - alam kong nakangiti siya ng sinabi niya yun dahil masigla ang pagkasabi niya nun.

Nagkahiwalay din kami sa yakapan namin at umayos ulit ako ng upo.

"Nga pala Payne-chan.. You said that you will 'Personally and Formally say your goodbye to our Co-Assassins' that does mean...?" Tumango ako sa tanong niya.

"Yes. I'm going back to Japan." - I answered her that made her shut her mouth. Ngumiti nalang siya ng konti at tumango sa akin.

Napatingin naman ako sa kaliwang balikat ko at hinawakan iyon. "Does it still hurts?" Napatingin ulit ako sa kanya ng magsalita sya. Nakatingin din pala siya sa sugat ko.

I nod. "Yes, kumikirot nga siya ngayon eh." Sagot ko naman.

"Oh! Where's your meds?" - she asked referring to my Pain reliever and other meds for my wounds.

"Ubos na." - sagot ko.

"Okay, I'll go get you your meds. Stay here okay?" - she reminded me.

Napatawa naman ako ng mahina. "As if I have the energy to run and where should I go anyway?" - I sarcastically said.

Natawa din naman siya. "Maybe to Nyegie? Oh well, I'll go now." Then she turned her back at me and faced the door.

Napailing-iling nalang ako sa sinabi niya. Ngunit may bigla akong natandaan kaya tinawag ko siya. "Mitchi.."

Lumingon naman siya while raising her eyebrows, as if it was saying 'What' at me.
