"W-What?"
"I can't live with the fact that the children and pack mates here are in danger because of one individual... I'm going to have no choice but send you in your way. That is of course, once you are fully healed," Mingi's deep voice lowers, and Seonghwa could almost hear a tiny bit of sadness to his tone.
Seonghwa tilts his chin up before nodding once, "Well, that is fine. I think it will be much more safer to actually travel further away from the threat instead of sticking around in one place anyway. I couldn't live with the thought of putting anyone in harms way. Don't worry alpha, once I am clear to leave I'm taking my son and you won't ever see us again."
Seonghwa jerks his arm away from Mingi and walks quickly down the hallway to his room, shutting the door loudly before pressing himself against it while holding Minjun. He couldn't help but feel the twinge of pain in his heart and the urge to let out a silent sob tore through his chest. He knew he was going to have to leave, but why was it hurting so much to think about?
Has he grown too attached to this pack?
He shook his head at the thought, no. There's no way he had grown close to these pack members. Yes it was nice living with them and having more conversation with people who's emotions weren't bland, but it wasn't safe for him and Minjun to stay. For them, for the pack, for everyone.
As much as he hated to admit it, he was going to have to leave.
Later that night, Seonghwa stayed in the room and refused to step out. He didn't want to be apart of them anymore, knowing it was going to be harder for him to leave if he continued to participate with their activities. He was starving, but he was trying to stay strong and not leave the room. However, it all came to a stop when Wooyoung enters the room with a curious frown upon his face, "Seonghwa? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"You haven't ate yet, I brought you some food," Wooyoung brings the plate of hot food closer to him and sets it down on the bedside table. His stomach growls loudly, but Seonghwa was trying his best to not give in and looked down at his sleeping child. Wooyoung sighs, "Did we do something?"
"No, none of you did."
"Then why are you avoiding us?" Before Seonghwa could deny the claim, Wooyoung holds a hand up, "No, don't try to lie to me. I know you are avoiding us, I'm just wondering why? We thought you were starting to warm up to us and now we're not sure if you are upset with us or-"
"I can't stay here Wooyoung," Seonghwa interrupts.
"What? Why?"
"I need to go on my own, there are powerful people looking for me and I can't risk putting you all in danger."
"Your old pack?" Wooyoung arches his eyebrows, "That's what this is about? Seonghwa, you can't leave! You're more in danger leaving and being out there by yourself- with a newborn!- than being here with us! Here, we can protect you and your baby, whoever threatens you, threatens us. You aren't official... but we feel like you are already a part of our family. Our pack. And plus you can't leave Min-"
"Wooyoung if I stay here I risk putting your life and your children's' lives in danger!" Seonghwa turns away from him, "I wouldn't be able to live with the thought of someone hurting you all just for helping me... especially your children."
Wooyoung was silent, biting his lip before taking a deep breath and turning on his heel. He stomps out of the room and slams the door shut after him, Seonghwa winces and felt his son flinch at the loud noise. With the flinch came a small cry before it grew louder from Minjun's tiny lungs.
Seonghwa sighs before bringing his child up in his arms, shushing him softly before whispering to his son, "I'm here my love, you're alright..."

The next few days Seonghwa stayed in his room much like how he was when he was first brought into the home. And much like before, Yeosang was bringing him meals and Hongjoong came to check up on him and his baby.
Seonghwa was starting to feel alone once more, and the walls were starting to slowly close in on him the longer he stayed in the room.
Shortly after lunch, Seonghwa had just put Minjun down for his nap after feeding him when someone gently knocks on the door. He doesn't respond, he never does, but the person on the other side slowly opened the door. Seonghwa immediately senses Alpha, and Mingi's scent washed in through the doorway, "Seonghwa?"
Seonghwa looks over his shoulder before turning to face him, bowing respectfully, "Alpha."
"Will you come with me to my office? We need to discuss a few things."
"What's to discuss? I'm leaving as soon as Hongjoong confirms it is safe for me to travel. I wouldn't want to be a burden to you and your pack any longer, Alpha."
"Seonghwa. Please," Mingi's voice dropped an octave lower, "Let's take this to the office. Please."
Seonghwa could feel the urgency, and as much as he wanted to be stubborn and not go he couldn't seem to resist the alpha. His wolf was urging him to go, whining for the alpha's touch or to even be near him. He wasn't sure why he was feeling this way, but he gave in to his wolf's urges and follows Mingi out of the room and down the hall to the Alpha's office. As soon as they enter the room, Mingi closes the door quietly and gestures to the chairs, "Please have a seat."
Before Seonghwa could argue and refuse, Mingi's eyes flash red and the Omega flinches back. His wolf surrendered immediately, and Seonghwa found himself taking a seat in one of the leather chairs across from the desk while Mingi took one in a similar leather chair at the other side. As soon as he sat down, he leans forward and locks his eyes with Seonghwa's.
They were a dark chocolate brown, and Seonghwa thought they were beautiful and less intimidating than his blood red irises brought on by his wolf, "Seonghwa, I firstly want to apologize."
Seonghwa arches his eyebrow, "For what?"
"For saying that you need to leave. For trying to kick you out." Seonghwa perked up at the words spoken by the alpha, Mingi continues, "I was quick to judge the situation before I even asked about your story. It's just that... when you said that you fled from your pack because your life was in danger..."
"I understand. You were just doing what was best for your pack."
"No, I was doing what was best for me," Mingi frowns, shaking his head, "I wasn't taking into consideration about my pack's feelings, and I was being selfish. I was thinking more about my feelings, and didn't want to have to deal with the consequences... but..." his eyes look down at the desk as he takes in a deep breath, "I can't just turn my back on you. We have a deep connection with you already, and my pack has already expressed their hurt with the idea of you leaving. They have offered to protect you and Minjun from whoever is looking for you, and with that I want to ask... would you rather stay? Or would you rather leave?"
Seonghwa swallows the lump in his throat, picking at the cuticles on his nails as his anxiety slowly grew, "I don't want to be a burden-"
"You are not a burden," Mingi assured him, "Who... who is after you? We don't really know your story and I would feel more comfortable if you told us your story. Whoever it is, we are willing to do everything we can to protect you. I am willing to protect you from whoever it is threatening you."
Seonghwa looks up at the alpha and noticed Mingi was true to his word, the alpha waited for Seonghwa's answer. Seonghwa bit his bottom lip, "I didn't come from a normal pack like how you all did."
"We are all aware," Mingi chuckles, "definitely a different case from what we all have experienced."
Seonghwa blushes, his wolf yearned to reach for the alpha but the Omega held it back. He once more began picking at the skin around his nails, "My home... wasn't like a normal pack. Where I come from was actually in the city, a laboratory."
"I'm sorry, a laboratory?"
"Yes," Seonghwa looks up at Mingi with fear as he said the next words quietly, "A laboratory that breeds hybrid wolves."
