Seonghwa has been keeping close watch of the same exit he seen the guard exit the cafeteria and to outside. There's no doubt it's locked from the outside and only certified personnel with keys can unlock the door and leave. Which also explains why they prop the door open.

His stomach grows every day, and makes it more noticeable that he has a belly now. He finds himself growing more attached to his unborn child, even though motherhood was forced upon him. Just like the others, he found himself placing his hands on his belly and rubbing where he thinks his baby is, talking to it in the middle of the night or when he's alone.

Every chance he got, he took mental notes on how to escape, where to go once he escaped, what he would do when he escaped, etc. He figured they weren't any close to civilization, granted they could be and he would have to use his senses to help guide him to civilization. Once he finds civilization, he needed to dispose of his scrubs and possibly color his hair. He knows the chances of him coloring his hair wouldn't hinder their work to find him, but it was something he was willing to try to at least have a little more camouflage.

And if he had to, it's possible he will have to rob a store for these items...

The thought didn't sit well with him at all, but he has to do what he can to hide and get away from this place. Not only for him, but for his baby as well.

His eyes once more find their way to the hidden door where he watched another assistant disappear into. He had to keep his hopes up that this wasn't just some other door to lead to a lab. If they were doing what he thinks they're doing, it's got to be a way outside.

A presence made itself known and he looks up to see Heather standing over him. Her belly was more round today, but it looked to be more lower and not as high. She sits beside him, sitting as close as she can to whisper, "I know you seen it."

Seonghwa's eyes nearly widen but he kept his panicked demeanor under control as he clears his throat, "What are you talking about?"

"The door. The one the assistants and sometimes scientists go in and out of every so often," Heather smirks slightly, "You've been watching it."

"How has no one else noticed it?" Seonghwa whispers, "It's literally in plain sight."

"Most of us don't usually watch our surroundings like you do. We're all too afraid to do anything, but you... you're different," she smiles, "And honestly, I think you need to do it."

"Do what?"

"Escape," she whispers lowly, making sure no one heard her as she leans in closer, "I know you want to, and I think you should. I know you can get out of here and live a better life out there with your baby than in here. Which is why I mean this when I tell you..."

Seonghwa frowns, waiting for her to continue and she smirks, "I want to tell you that I want to help you escape. I want to help you get out of here and to live a normal life of an Omega. This... this place isn't normal. You know that, I know that. We all know that. Which is why I know you are not afraid and you have the balls to actually do something and leave."

Seonghwa's eyebrows never relax as they furrow deeper, "What's the catch?"

She smiles kindly, patting his shoulder, "Just promise me you'll leave. That you'll be brave enough to leave this place and you will never look back."

"B-But what about you?"

"I've spent all of my life here. This is my destiny. You however, you have a chance to leave this place and will have a better life for yourself and your baby." She sighs, placing her hands on her belly and smiles down at it, "My baby is ready to come anyway, just be patient and wait for the right moment. I will help you. But when the moment comes, don't you dare hesitate. Watch for the signal, and make your move."

Seonghwa watches as she stood with some help from the table, before waddling away to the food bar. Seonghwa sighs, sitting back once more and observing the area. He caught sight of one of the omegas he was brought in with from the fertility lab, and watched as he stared down at a tray of food with solemn filled eyes.

He looked up and locked eyes with Seonghwa, his eyes that were once a bright green were now a dull grey. He looked miserable, Seonghwa guessed he must be having the same thoughts as him in regards to this life.

He felt guilt settle in his stomach, wishing that he can save them all from this place.

A couple more weeks have passed, and Heather hasn't given any obvious signs that she's helping him escape. Every day he watched that door and waited for the right moment. He had come to realize though, that the assistants wait until the bell rings for study time when they all leave the cafeteria area.

This escape was going to be tricky.

But as he watches and waits for the perfect opportunity, he watches the Omega he noticed is more... gloomy. He isn't afraid to show that he's not too excited to be here, and isolates himself away from everyone. His skin even looks to be paler, making him almost seem lifeless.

Heather was no where to be seen today. He felt his anxiety rise at the thought that maybe she really went into labor earlier and is possibly getting ready to deliver her baby anytime now. Seonghwa may have just lost his chance of help with an escape.

The bell above their heads chime, letting them know it was time to leave the area and to go study. He sighs in defeat, missing the opportunity to get out of here and to save his baby.

But as they all stand to leave, Seonghwa caught sight of two assistants walking towards the cafeteria towards the door. Seonghwa looks away as they open the door, trying to not act suspicious that he had been watching them for almost a month now.

But everything happened all at once.

Seonghwa received his sign.

The gloomy omega managed to grab his fork off of his tray, and with a scream raises it in the air. Seonghwa watches in horror as the Omega brings the fork down and stabs the prongs once, twice, three times, four times into his abdomen.

The Omegas all stop and stare in horror, shock settling in and made them all unsure what to do as the Omega kept bringing the fork prongs down and stabbing into the flesh of his abdomen. The door that was propped open from the assistants was immediately opened further and the assistants that just left for a smoke break rush in to help.

One looks at the watching Omegas and while pointing to the hall, he roars, "GET TO THE STUDY!! Now!"

The Omegas didn't argue, everyone leaves the room in a rush. They didn't want to receive punishment for not obeying the assistants and their rules. One assistant managed to wrestle the Omega to keep him from stabbing himself anymore, the other ran to the cafeteria and was out of sight.

This was his chance.

The smell of blood filled his nostrils and made him slightly nauseous, the white tiles were stained crimson red as more blood looked around the assistant and the Omega. Seonghwa charges for the opened door, not stopping until he reached the door.

"Hey! Stop!!" The assistant helping the Omega shouts, "Ronnie! We got a runner!"

Seonghwa's eyes widen and he moves the stone out of the way of the door, scrambling to shut the door behind him as he exits the room. It shuts behind him with a loud thud, and he puts his hands against the door panting heavily.

He just did that. He just ran and didn't look back.

The smell of pine fills his nose and his back tenses. He opens his eyes, immediately being blinded by the sun and he couldn't help but squint. He turns slowly, his eyes widen and a gasp falls from his lips.

So many trees, beautiful, green leaves rustling in the slight wind. Open, blue skies. White, fluffy clouds. The sound of birds chirping in the distance and cut through the silence.

Until the alarms started to ring.

His heart skips a beat and without hesitating, he takes off running towards the trees. He doesn't stop, he doesn't look back.

Is he finally free?
