𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞

Chapter Seventeen:)

"Like I am saying, there's a demon at my place! This is what it was like! I'm sure!" Inosuke yelled as he began making weird shapes with his hands. 

"Well... Yeah, well... Just hold up a bit" Tanjiro said with a confused look on his face "wait can you tell if I do this!?" Inosuke yelled making another weird shape with his hands.

 "I think Uzui-san and Zenitsu will come here for our regular meet up," Tanjiro said with the intent to change the subject "It was like this!" Inosuke said as he once again made another shape with his hands "Yeah... yeah" Y/n mumbled to the duo. 

"Zenitsu isn't coming" shocking the three demon hunters, they turned their heads to see Uzui sitting on the roof 'this guy is impressive... He didn't even make a sound' Inosuke thought "what do you mean Zenitsu isn't coming!?" Y/n barked out at the male as she made her way over to him. 

"I think I put you guys in terrible danger," Uzui said as he looked down at the roof "the desire to save my wives' has caused me to commit a grave mental error, Zenitsu's whereabouts are currently unknown, he stopped contacting me last night, You three get out of here now, your ranks are too low, if the demon here is an 'upper moon' you can't deal with them" Uzui said as he slowly stood up. 

"I will regard people who have stopped sending me letters as dead, from here on, I will move on my own" Uzui said. 

"Wait... Uzui-san! We..." Tanjiro yelled only to get cut off by Uzui "Don't be ashamed, winners stay alive, don't mess up this opportunity." Uzui said, "hold it, bastard!" Y/n yelled outreaching her arm out in an attempt to grab his shoulder only for him to vanish.

'Damm bastard' Y/n thought to herself as she scoffed.

"Maybe he didn't believe in us because were members in the lowest class," Tanjiro said with a frown.

 "We're currently at the kanoe rank right now, the fourth lowest on the chain. And Y/n is on the hinoto rank!" Inosuke spoke out with a determined expression 'how'd he know' Y/n thought to herself as she stared at him tilting her head.

"Show us our ranks!" Inosuke and Y/n yelled out lifting their hands showing the back of their hand to Tanjiro.

 This 'word' which swells up due to muscle expansion. Is a special technique called 'wisteria carving', it's a symbol of the Demon Hunters.  

"What the hell" Tanjiro mumble staring at the marking on the back of their hands with a confused expression "wasn't your hand itchy in the Wisteria mountains?" Y/n asked the red-haired boy. 

"I remember feeling an itch, but I was tired... I didn't know about this" Tanjiro responded with an upset expression as he looked down at his hand. 

"Cheer up!!" Inosuke yelled as he hit Tanjiro's shoulder

 "Yeah, nows, not the time, my bad. When night falls Y/n-san and I will head to Ogimoto house, where you'll be, wait for us till then, acting alone will be dangerous!" Tanjiro yelled with a firm expression.

"Today Y/n-san and I will finish investigating the house we're currently in!" Tanjiro yelled out once again "Why!" Inosuke yelled at the red-haired boy. 

"I'm telling you that there's a demon here! So come over now!! You really are a total dumbass!!" Inosuke yelled out at the boy as he pinched his cheek. 

"Hyor rong!" Tanjiro mumbled "Huhh!" Inouske yelled as he began to hit the boy.

 "Uzui-san was standing watch outside the stores at night, right?" Tanjiro said as he covered his head "Ow ow ow ow but Zenitsu disappeared and the demon at your house hid itself. Ow come on... stop beating me up, I think there might be passages inside the buildings." Tanjiro spoke out
