𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞

Chapter Thirty:)

My name is Gotou. I work as a member of the kakushi, the cleanup brigade of the demon hunters. I called Tanjiro Kamado out for sleeping at the pillar meeting, I guess you could say I'm connected to him.

 After all, I am the one that found them in the red-light district. They all looked terrible. They're not only younger than me but they become swordsmen at a young age, I honestly respect them.

 And that's why I'm bringing high-end castella to Tanjiro's room, I heard he has a keen sense of smell, so hopefully, he'll wake up if he smells it. I'm trying really hard not to gobble it up right now.

Gotou walked down the hall of the butterfly estate when he got near Tanjiro's room he noticed the door open 'the doors open' he thought to himself. When he walked into the room, he saw a broken vase on the floor and two females sitting beside Tanjiro's bed. 

'Oh, Y/n-chan and Kanao-chan you both just do whatever you want, these two girls are both oddballs. Since Kanao doesn't speak and Y/n enjoys getting under Shinobu's skin. These two girls have been slaying demons since childhood, well I can't say anything since there both higher ranked than I am, even though I'm twenty-three'. 

"Uhm I brought some castella over. So please mover over so I can put it down, if it starts to look spoiled you can just eat it" Gotou spoke out, as he began walking over Y/n and Kanao did as requested.

 Gotou walked over to the bed and was shocked to see an awake Tanjiro "thank... thank you... so much" Tanjiro coughed out. 

"He...He Woke Up?! Why Aren't You Screaming!!? You're Both Utter Airheads!! You're Supposed to Call Someone!! He Regained Consciousness, You Dumbasses!!" Gotou screamed, swinging his fist around in the air. 

Y/n and Kanao stared at Gotou, surprised at his outburst "Everyone is worried sick about him! I don't care that you're both my superiors! Well, right now at least!" Gotou yelled, stomping towards the door. 

"Kiyo-Chan, Sumi-chan, Naho-Chaan! Aoi-Chaaaan! Tanjirou's awake noow!!" Gotou yelled out in the hallway. 

In a matter of seconds three excited girls came running into the room "Tanjirouuu!!" the three girls cried, as they jumped onto the bed and began hugging the red-haired boy "I'm so happy you're awake!" the girls cried. 

A few minutes later a blanket cam charging into the room "Kyaaaa! A monsteeeer!" Kiyo screamed  "Baahhgg" a muffled scream left Aoi's mouth as she untangled herself in the laundry "It's just Aoi caught in the laundry" Y/n deadpanned, as she patted Kiyo's head. 

"I'm so glad you're awake!! You guys went in my place, so... Waaah!" Aoi cried, Kanao was patting Aoi's back and Y/n hugged her in an attempt to comfort their friend. 

"How... are the... others?" Tanjiro coughed "As you can see Y/n's fine, she woke up a couple of hours after the incident," Gotou said "And the blond boy woke up a day after the incident, he's back in service already, he left an hour ago. He was screaming and crying" Gotou groaned "Yeah!" Kiyo cooed.

 "The sound pillar walked off with his wives supporting him, all kakushi were pretty scared of him" Gotou sweated "Oh, okay what... about... Inosuke?" Tanjiro coughed "Inosuke-san was on the verge of death at one point" Kiyo mumbled.

 Aoi began to shake in Y/n's grasp, catching her attention "Inosuke-san was in terrible condition, the poison circulated throughout his body, we were too late too late to stop the bleeding" Aoi sobbed, covering her face with her apron. 

"Oh, okay so I must be hallucinating Inosuke clinging to the roof right now" Tanjiro mumbled. "What the hell" Y/n muttered; Sumi clung onto Y/n's arm "What is wrong with you!" Sumi yelled, her grasp tightening on Y/n's shirt.

 "Gwuahahah I'm impressed you noticed me, Tanpachirou" Inosuke cackled, letting go of the ceiling and landing atop of Tanjiro "Well, I am lying face-up" Tanjiro groaned.

 "I woke seven days before you, I am superior!!" Inosuke yelled "Oh, good for you Inosuke" Tanjiro smiled "Gwehe, praise me some more!! You're a feeble boy who made me worry!!" Inosuke screaming, pointing a finger at Tanjiro. 

"Get off him," Kiyo said "Hey, show Tanjiro what Shinobu showed us," Y/n said, nudging Sumi and Naho with her elbow.

 Sumi and Naho looked at Y/n with a wide smile "You're not normal, even Shinobu-sama said it herself!" Naho yelled "Yeah, look at this Tanjiro-san," Sumi said, bringing her book up to Tanjiro showing him a weasel. 

"It's a weasel from overseas called a 'honey bagger' Its thick hide is like armour, it'll be completely fine if it fights a lion and poison doesn't work on it, so it can also eat poisonous snakes," Sumi said with a large smile.

 "Shinobu-sama said Inosuke-san is just like this thing" Sumi exclaimed, Inosuke grumbled at the comment sitting down on Tanjiro's leg "Get off him" Aoi groaned, attempting to pull the boy off.

 "So basically, I'm immortal" Inosuke cheered, crossing his arms "No, you're just a dumbass" Y/n scoffed, Inosuke tried tackling Y/n only to be held back by Aoi "Who's the moron here, you ass!" Inosuke yelled, trying to attack Y/n. 

"Let me go!" Inosuke grumbled, "No, you can't fight Y/n, she'll beat you up!!" Aoi yelled, a smile grew on Y/n's face as she stuck her tongue out at the boy. 

Y/n's actions irritating the boy more, his fingers skimming through her hair tangling it in the process "Ow!" Y/n yelled, kneeling on top of the bed swinging her hand at the boy. 

"Stop it!!" Sumi and Naho whined, trying to pull Y/n back.

 "Stop it, you may have poison resistance, but you refused to take your medicine. So be careful!" Aoi yelled "quiet... be quiet" Kanao whispered, as she began fidgeting her fingers "Quiet!! Tanjiro fell asleep!!" Kanao yelled.

 Kanao's yelling took everyone by surprise, her outburst resulted in everyone calming down. 

"AHH, he's back in a coma!" Inosuke yelled "Don't say that, it'll jinx him" Aoi whined "Y/n-san, Kanao-san let's go make some gruel" Kiyo spoke out, tugging on the girl's sleeves "kay" Kanao whispered "Alright" Y/n said.

 The three girls left the room, they began walking down the hall. Y/n saw Shinubo sitting alone one the engawa "Hey I'm actually going to go do something else" Y/n said, running towards her older sitting. "Hey" Y/n sang, sitting next to her sister "Huh, oh hello Y/n," Shinubo said with a smile.

 "What're you doing?" Y/n asked, resting her head on Shinubo's shoulder "I'm just thinking" Shinubo replied, leaning her head on Y/n's "What are you thinking about" Y/n asked "Nothing important, ah no more about me. What's going in between you and Genya" Shinubo coed, nudging Y/n with her elbow "Nothing!" Y/n yelled, her cheeks turning red "That's not what your face says" Shinobu said, poking Y/n's cheeks. 

Y/n brought her head down to her legs covering her head with her arms, attempting to hide her flustered face "You can tell me" Shinobu coed, as she spoked Y/n "Stop it!" Y/n whined. 

The two girls busted out laughing, Y/n rested her head on Shinobu's shoulder once again "Y/n" Shinobu spoke out "Yeah?" Y/n replied, glancing at her sister "Promise me, promise me you won't die to some demon and that you'll live a happy and fulfilled life" Shinobu said with a sigh.

 Y/n was slightly surprised by her sister's words "I promise, only if you promise me the same thing" Y/n said with a wide smile, Shinobu was hesitant but agreed.

 The two girls intertwined their pinkies with a wide smile.
