Chapter Thirty-Two:)

"Did Genya come back last night?" Tanjiro asked, slightly tilting his to face the girl "Yeah, he came back in the dead of night, strange timing, if you ask" Y/n, sighed, petting her crow. 

"Why couldn't he come with us?" Tanjiro frowned "He had to go down to the workshop to help model his bullets," Y/n said, glancing over to the red-haired boy.

 "Hopefully we run into each other soon," Tanjiro said smiling "Me too" Y/n mumbled, scratching the back of her neck. 

"I wonder what this weapon was Kanroji-san was talking about you think it's a sword or maybe it's buried, this is like a treasure hunt!" Tanjiro exclaimed "I don't know," Y/n said, shrugging her shoulders. 

"This is a nice place and all but my nose isn't working properly," Tanjiro said, rubbing his nose "Maybe it's because you are not fully healed yet" Y/n groaned, flicking the red-haired boy's forehead.

 "Ow... I really want to find Haganezuka-san but..." Tanjiro said, only to get cut off by Y/n tugging his sleeve "Look," Y/n said, pointing at two people ways away. 

"A kid and another person? Hey,  wait isn't that..." Tanjiro said, once again getting cut off by Y/n "The mist pillar, Tokitou Muichirou" Y/n said, glancing over to the red-haired boy.

 "Go away, I'm not handing this key over to anyone. Just forget about it" The young boy yelled "There arguing, we should go" Y/n groaned, Tanjiro ignored Y/n's comment "What should we do, eavesdropping is bad, but if they're fighting, we have to intervene" Tanjiro mumbled.

 The duo watched the boy yell at the mist pillar for another moment, the mist pillar began to look annoyed, he raised his hand jabbing the kid's neck with it, picking the boy up by the collar of his clothing.

 Y/n and Tanjiro let out a surprised gasp and ran over "Heey, what are you doing!? Let him go!" Tanjiro yelled, grabbing Tokitou's wrist "Your voice is so annoying... Who are you?" the mist pillar groaned "Let go of him!" Tanjiro yelled, tightening his grip on Tokitou's wrist "You let go" Tokitou scowled, bringing his other arm up bringing it to Tanjiro's stomach at a quick pace. 

'He's going to hit Tanjiro!?' Y/n panicked and without thinking, Y/n grabbed Tokitou's wrist, Y/n let out a quiet gasp, shocked by her own action.

 Tokitou eyed Y/n "Who are you" Tokitou mumbled, pulling his arms from the tight holds they were in. 

"You're both really weak," Tokitou said, hitting the duo on their stomachs, a loud groan left the duos mouth. 

Tanjiro fell to the ground holding his stomach as pain-filled coughs left his mouth and Y/n was slightly hunched over holding her stomach.

 "I don't understand how the both of you got into the demon slayer corps... hmm I sense something strange in that box, it feels like a demon," Tokitou said bending down to open the box.

 "Don't touch!" Tanjiro snarled, smacking Tokitou's hand away, and Y/n took this as an opportunity to snatch the young boy from Tokitou's grasp. "Are you alright?" Y/n asked, placing the young boy down 'she took him. I've seen her before... but where?' Toktitou thought to himself, as he eyed you. 

"You don't look so good, take care of yourself," Tanjiro said, kneeling down to the young boy placing a handout "Yeah" Y/n muttered in agreement "I'm not handing this key over to anyone! Not even under torture 'it' is going to break very soon!" the young boy yelled, slapping Tanjiro's hand away. 

"Have you ever been under torture? Not even adults can endure it, so it'd be impossible for you. It seems like you're just a kid who doesn't know his place" Tokitou muttered, glaring at the young boy.
