I feel
in every girl
there lives a wild pizie,
that if let go,
would run and dance in grassy fields
until the end of the world--
and when that girl grows up,
that pixie hides,
but she's always there,
peeking out behind old eyes
and reading glasses,
waiting
to one day dance again

"I don't understand." Eden frowned. "Neither do I." Draco shrugged, picking up the next book and setting it in the 1940's pile. "If I'm going to give your wand back, I want it to be worth my time. Explain yourself." Eden eyed him.
I want to occupy your thoughts as you occupy mine.
"I-" Draco sighed. "I don't know. It confuses me." He admitted, and Eden felt suddenly uncomfortable. He was being too.. open. This was what she had wanted, but now that he was being honest it just all felt wrong.
"Then tell me what you do know." Eden twirled her hair around her fingers--doing anything she could to avoid meeting his eyes. "It took my by surprise when I learned of how.. defiant you are." He began, and Eden could tell he was choosing his words carefully. "I suppose I realised that only Theo has the balls to questions me."
"Because you're so incredibly supreme?" Eden rolled her eyes. "Yes, Draco Malfoy's word is law in Slytherin. For the most ambitious house, we are quite impressionable, aren't we?" She scoffed.
"Hilarious." Draco scowled. "Now as I was saying. You occupied my thoughts because..?" Draco paused. "Because I didn't know what to do about you, I suppose." He frowned. "And, as I'm sure you've noticed, I tend to seek you out for the purpose of annoying you."
"Oh, I've noticed." Eden pressed her lips into a thin line. "I realised that even though I was regularly mocking you, you'd rarely go out of your way to do the same to me. It shouldn't have mattered, but it did. I hate that I don't bother you as much as I try to."
It was strange to hear Draco so unsure. So careful. Even if the way he was explaining himself could almost be considered playful.
"So you want me to be constantly... thinking about you.. Because you want me to obsess over trying to piss you off?" Eden almost laughed. "Something like that." Draco grumbled. "Are you sure you're not just crushing on me, Malfoy?" She batted her eyelashes, and Draco glared at her.
"Aw, don't be like that." She grinned. "Doesn't it make you swoon when I run my hands through my hair?" She sighed, dragging her finger tips through the ends of her hair. Draco swallowed. "Not even a little bit." He looked back down at the books.
"Hm. boring." She hummed, continuing with her stacking--though her mind wandered back to his words. I want to occupy your thoughts as you occupy mine. She'd almost thought that he had meant something else.
