..God, how I ricochet between certainties and doubts.

Draco's lips were on hers in a matter of moments--and she hated him. She hated him so much. She hated the way his hands tightened on her waist and ran through her hair. She hated the way his mouth moulded so perfectly into hers. She hated the feelings he evoked in her and she hated everything about him.
Eden reached her hands up to push him away, but they betrayed her and grabbed for his shirt instead--pulling him closer. "I hate you." She whispered onto his mouth. "And I hate you, Eden Albero." Draco murmured, reaching a hand into her hair and tugging her head back as he swallowed her retort.
The world slipped from beneath Eden as his lips caressed her own and his hand slid up and down her side. She tried to pull him closer again, but they were already so near. He pulled away to look at her, his expression dark and filled with heated desire. "Again." She breathed and he indulged her.
He drew her bottom lip between his teeth and she released a soft, pleading exhale before they were kissing again. Eden slipped her hands beneath his shirt, sliding her fingers down his stomach as he let out a low groan. "Eden." He pulled away. "Again." She demanded.
And then he was kissing her as though the air within her lungs were the key to his survival. The solution to all of his problems. "Eden." He kept repeating, tugging away to place a kiss on her jaw. She had been a fool to give him a false name. A fool to have waited to hear the heaven that was her own name in that devious, tainted mouth. "Eden." His teeth scraped her neck before he kissed down to her collarbone. She arched her back into him, feeling the smile that bloomed on his lips as she moaned gently. "Draco." She pleaded--but he, once again, had pulled away.
"What are you doing?" She did her best to gulp down as much air as she could while his eyes stared shamelessly into her own. "Not yet." He whispered. "Why?" She slid her hands out from beneath her shirt--the heat in her growing restless and impatient.
"Because when I take you, love, it will be in a place where I can worship you thoroughly and comfortably." He dragged his hands slowly from her waist and hair. Now they sat on the bare thighs her dress had risen to expose. She had no words as he helped her off of him--the cut on his face now scabbed over.
"That's not fair." Eden muttered as Draco flicked the lock to the bathroom open. "Not fair?" He tilted his head back to her. "No." She answered, the rapid beating of her heart had not yet slowed. "Then perhaps I shall have to visit you tomorrow." He removed his fingers from the door handle and took her arm in a feather-light grip to kiss the inside of her wrist. Eden's knees nearly buckled. "Vivian is home tomorrow." She swallowed, and he looked up from her wrist--a wicked grin surfacing on that beautiful face.
"Then it should be even more interesting." He winked.

Eden had not found rest easy the night after the final ball. Her mother had been working when she'd arrived home and not even her shower could cool her burning skin. Once again, she had found herself lying awake on top of her blankets, staring up at her ceiling as the night began to descend.
She could still feel him, still taste him. "Draco." She had whispered over and over as her hands had slipped between her legs.

"Mama." Eden yawned, her head in her hands as she watched her mother roll out the dough. "Yes." Vivian hummed. "Luna asked me if I wanted to visit her during the Christmas break. I was thinking one week here and one week there." She chewed on her bottom lip--her thoughts drifting to when Draco had taken it into his mouth. "How far away is it?" Vivian frowned. "It's near Devon. If you only wanted me there for a couple of nights, then that's fine."
