No human being has ever stood so Close to my soul as you stand.

It was well past midnight by the time Draco and Eden left the bed. They had spent the whole evening with their hands and lips roaming over one another's bodies--tracing every line, every curve. It was as though they wanted to memorise everything. Each flaw and imperfection was a beauty to be devoured. Their curiosities mingled with their lingering sense of desire for one another. This was new for both off them.
Now, Eden sat on the floor in front of the unlit fireplace. She wore Draco's shirt, her tangled hair was tied back into a knot and she was strangely at ease and comfortable with her surroundings. Draco wandered around the room collecting their clothes before dropping Edens belongings beside her. "You can stay, you know." He sat on the couch behind her, pulling the band from her hair so he could play with the ends.
"Francesca will be wondering where I am. It'll be believable if I say I just stayed out too late, but I'd have no explanation for not showing up until morning." She sighed. "You could tell her." He leaned forward to kiss the side of her neck, and she hummed in response. "Not yet." She laid back against his legs. "Soon, though." She promised.
"Will they approve?" He traced her cheekbone with his thumb. "Francesca will. Faye might be a little nervous about it, but my real worry is with Levi." She swallowed. "Surely you don't care what he thinks about you." Draco frowned. "Not entirely, but to a degree. He is my friend, believe it or not--but I won't let him tell me what to do."
"And what of your mother..?" His voice was quieter than before, and Eden realised he must have been wondering since the last time he saw her it was before he'd stormed out of the apartment. "My mother will understand why you left. She's not unreasonable." Eden reached an arm blindly up for his hand. "But for now." She picked up her clothes with the other. "I really should go." She rose to her feet. "And Luna?"
Eden paused at that. "Luna." She smiled. "Will be fine, and I'm sure she'll appreciate that you remembered she is close to me." Edens chest warmed--and stayed warm, all the way through getting dress and allowing Draco to escort her back to her dorm in secret.

The first class of the day, unfortunately, was Transfiguration. With Levi. And Draco. Wonderful. Eden sat at the back of the class as she usually did. Francesca to her right, and Levi on the other side of her. Draco had dragged his friends to sit beside them, as he often did--much to Pansys dismay. The obnoxious girl had continued in her attempts to climb all over him and sing his praises--seeing as Eden had forbidden Draco from sharing the specifics of their relationship.
She knew Pansy would make it known that she thoroughly disapproved, which meant her friends would be there to witness it. However, sitting beside him while Pansy went and on and about his intelligence, and good looks, and confidence, and charisma, and--you get the point--it was exhausting. Draco, on the other hand, seemed to enjoy it each time Edens face or body language hinted at just how annoyed she was. Especially because it often resulted in her linking her foot with his, or angling her body a little closer.
"Jealous?" He had leaned forward to whisper in her ear when no one was looking. "Not in the slightest." She scowled at him. "Oh?" He raised his brows, his eyes sliding back to Pansy for a moment. "Shall we put that to the test?" He challenged, and Eden immediately realised her mistake.
The next time Pansy placed a hand on Draco's arm, he did not pull away as he usually did. The next time she complimented him, he did not roll his eyes or ask her to stop commenting on what he was doing and to focus on her own work. He let her continue.
