Hadeon held my hand in his as we walked up the stairs to the front door of the apartment. A devilish smile appeared on his face. He managed to close the door and turn the lock before I pounced, pulling his face down to meet mine.

"How was work?" He asked against my mouth. I placed my hands on his chest and gently pushed him over to the couch.

"It was fine." I said. I sat down on the sofa and pulled him down next to me. I draped my legs over his lap and moved closer, our chests rising and falling against each other.

"Oh, no talking?" He laughed at me.

"We have, maybe, five minutes. Do you really want to waste this time talking?" I kissed him, but only for a split second before he pulled away.

Hadeon's deep brown eyes peered into mine meaningfully. "I like talking to you." He promised. "And any time I spend with you could never be a waste."

I smiled softly, my eyes unintentionally falling to his lips.

"Okay, I get it. You're only using me for my body." He joked.

His leaned in, his lips gently brushing against mine. His mouth moved with mine, soft and sweet. His hands fell to my waist, thumbs grazing the skin above my jeans. I smiled against his lips, and he followed suit.

"Can I ask you something?" I questioned.

"If you must." He groaned sarcastically.

"When I first moved here and you argued about me working at the bar and rushed to kick out anyone who seemed like a problematic customer," Hadeon nodded, his jaw tightening under his skin at the mention. "Why did you do that?"

"Its my job to kick idiots out." He reminded me.

"Why did you kick Ty out then? He wasn't causing any trouble for me." Hadeon's hands gripped my waist tighter.

"How am I supposed to do my job, when the girl I like is flirting with some douchebag?" He offered.

"So it was jealousy?" I smiled.

"Maybe."

"You know," I started. "If I had known you were interested, Ty would never have stood a chance."

Hadeon grinned, pulling me closer to him.

"You had a crush on me, huh?"

"Little bit." I laughed. "When you weren't arguing with everything I said."

"Really?" He asked. "I thought it was hot when you yelled at me."

I shot him a dirty look, but he just chuckled. "Well, I was going to apologise for not seeing that you were being protective. But I guess you don't mind."

"Not at all."

The front door knob turned against the lock and I startled out of Hadeon's arms, then headed down the hall. I turned into my room as Hadeon let Jess and Jack in.

"Goodnight, Hadeon." I hummed.
