Jess, Jack, and Hadeon stood around me, blowing on party horns and cheering as I blew out the candles on a cake. It wasn't my birthday, but we definitely had reason to celebrate.

Quinton and his parents were all locked up and serving time. My testimony, along with the girl who was there before me, Isabelle's, was enough to charge all three of them definitively, and today it was decided.

And since I was finally able to change my name back and declare I was still alive, I had received my share of my grandparents inheritance- including a second copy of the record my Nana sung (she had originally given me the second copy because she knew I was too clumsy to be trusted with the original). I was also left enough money to afford college.

"Theres something I want to tell you guys." I started. Every turned to me, listening intently. "When I was able to assume my real identity, or whatever, I applied for some universities in the area. And I got acceptance letters last week."

"And?!" Jess asked.

"I got into Northwestern. I'm starting a Communications degree next year."

"Oh my God!" Jess squealed as she hugged me. "Wait here!" She instructed as she rushed away into her bedroom.

"Good job, kid." Jack beamed. "You're gonna go on to do some great things.

"Hopefully." I wished.

"You definitely will." Hadeon grinned at me.

Jess ran back out with a thin black box in her hands. "I know this seems kind of stupid, but... our father, his mother got a necklace to congratulate her for getting into university, and he left it to me thinking I would go to university. You should have it."

Jess handed over the box and I opened it to reveal a thin silver chain holding a single small diamond. It was simple, but elegant, and I was instantly in love.

"Oh my god." I whispered as I picked up the necklace and tied it around my neck. "Its beautiful."

"Grandma Violet would have loved you so much." Jess said. "She was a lot like you, you know."

I smiled at my sister before engulfing her in a hug. "Thank you for being such an amazing sister." I whispered in her ear.

"Ditto." She laughed back.
