Chapter 10 - Choco Monster

With help from Adrien, Alya and Nino were working hard on finding enough information on what Lila had done to get Marinette expelled. Alya was quite desperate to see her best friend but Chat Noir had told them to take it easy. He said knowing Marinette's sweet heart she will forgive them but she was still recovering from what had happened at the akuma attack and had only talked to Alya on the phone.

"I'm so sorry." Alya was sitting on the couch in her living room. "I'm so sorry."

"It's ok. I know it's not your fault or anybody else's. Just Lila. She's a good liar and that's why I don't blame you."

Alya was sniffling, "I should have realised. You got akumatized because of me."

Marinette disagreed, "No, I got akumatized because of Lila so stop saying you're sorry I forgive you. Plus you're doing so much to help me expose her."

Alya gives in, "Ok but can I come over to see you anytime soon? Chat Noir told us to wait for you to let us. He said you were hurt when you were de-evilized."

Silly Chaton, always worrying so much. She thought with a small smile on her lips. "Yeah, it made me weak but I'm a lot better so maybe you could come over tomorrow?"

Alya let out a sigh of relief, "Ok that's fine. I was worried you'd say no."

Marinette giggled, "To my best friend? Forget about it. Come over tomorrow for lunch at twelve and don't be a minute late!"

Alya giggled at the playful acts of her bestie and was glad she wasn't too angry. "Ok. Tomorrow at twelve it is then," She giggled, "Bye Mari."

"Bye Alya."

Alya was a little worried for lunch tomorrow but she knew she shouldn't be.

Marinette was sitting on her chaise lounge when she heard a knock at the trapdoor. Tikki used this as her queue to hide as Marinette opened it and welcomed in Alya.

"Hey girl!" Alya ran at Marintte wrapping me in a hug, "How are you?"

Marinette smiled, "A lot better."

Then Alya started rambling, "I'm so sorry I should have never believed that liar. You got akumatized because of me! I'm so-"

"I told you a thousand times that it isn't your fault," Marinette interrupted her with a stern gaze, "Now, let's go out and have fun!"

She smiled at her, "Thanks," Alya felt so lucky to have a friend like Marinette.

The afternoon passed quickly. They went on a stroll in the park and later got ice cream from André's. They talked about many different things. They laughed and joked and had a great time. When they split up, and each headed home they were both tired and longing for a soft bed.
