Chloé was on her balcony when she heard somebody say, "I heard you were looking for me."
Ladybug was smiling at her expectantly and Chloé started talking immediately, "Well.... I thought about what you said about mistakes and I... I decided to apologize to everyone I have ever done anything even slightly bad to. Like my class, my dad and now... I need to apologize to you."
Ladybug didn't interrupt.
"I'm so sorry for fighting against you and always asking you to give me the bee miraculous even when I knew I wasn't useful in the fight," She looked down, "I'm so sorry, I hope you can forgive me."
"Of course I forgive you, you apologised to everyone you hurt. That takes a lot of bravery and it is a great thing to do," Ladybug reassured her.
Chloé smiled, "Thank you, Ladybug."
"I'll be on my way, I have some things to do," Ladybug waved, "See you around, Chloe."
"Bye Ladybug," Chloé waved back.
Ladybug jumped away using her yoyo, from building to building until she reached an alley near her family's bakery. She detransformed and headed back to her house.
"Hello Maman, hello Papa!" She greeted her parents, "I have some stuff to do for school so I'll go upstairs."
She walked up to her room and dropped on her lounge.
"Well done, Marinette!" Tikki congratulated her.
"Thanks Tikki. You know I couldn't do it without your convincing and everybody else's commitment," Marinette smiled at her anyways.
Just then there was something that sounded like metal being clanged together and a loud scream.
"And there goes my rest," She gave Tikki a small smile, "Come on, we've got some work to do. Tikki, spots on!"
She jumped out the window and started to search for where the noise was coming from.
"Hey Chat," She greeted her partner happily.
"Hello M'Lady," He responded, giving her a grin.
"Do you know what the akuma is about?" Ladybug asked.
"Yeah. Something about animals being treated badly and being locked up in a cage. Nothing too complicated."
His expression said otherwise. His face was pale with worry and from his eyes Ladybug could tell how scared he was.
"Don't worry, I'm sure it'll be fine," Ladybug tried to reassure the worried cat. She knew his greatest fear, besides her being angry at him, was being locked up. If this akuma victim had those powers it was obvious that he would be scared. "Come on, let's get closer to see what the akuma is up to."
