Chapter 83

At the start of the Ground Exams ROUND 1, 1025 participants took the exam.

Out of those 1025 participants, only 567 made it out alive. Out of 567, only 391 passed the exam with more than 99 points.

Spencer, Dragonknight, and Auditorian all have 100 points, while Kane has 550 points.

But others had a whopping 2,000 points. Their current high scorer was Eklipto, the Paragon who first started killing people with 3,100 points.

An hour after ROUND 1 ended, Sonaya finally appeared once again. Beside her was a lousy looking blonde man in iron armor. He was still removing his eye boogers like he had just woken up.

Kane recognized him,

"Wait, I know that guy! That guy's the gatekeeper on the ROUND 1. The one who told me to find the big boobed examiner!"

But Spencer interfered.

"Shhh! Master! That guy's also a Zodiac Mage! He's Capricorn!"

"Oh..."

Sonaya looked around, but it seemed none of them were as enthusiastic, just like in ROUND 1.

"Would you look at these peeps! Why don't you congratulate yourselves for winning the ROUND 1?!"

Most of them were still traumatized about what happened. While others were smiling, none of them actually rejoiced like what Sonaya expected.

"Why are you guys quiet? These exams are changing every week! And there was even a time that no one actually passed! And worst, there was an exam that no one survived! You guys should be glad!"

But an Arcadian suddenly snapped.

"Are you kidding me?! Is this what the Tower is about?! The famed Magic Tower was actually all about killing?!"

Sonaya approached him and compassionately shook her head while caressing the Arcadian's leather armor.

"No, no, no, darling. If you remembered, the ruuuuuules were just simple! Kill the wolf, and you get 100 points! Easy. Who told you to kill each other? DID I?"

Sonaya intensely glared toward the Arcadian's eye that he fell back to his seat.

The examiner continued,

"The wolves were even nerfed! They should be LVL 100, but their strength were at LVL 50 at its first evolution, then LVL 75 at its second, and then LVL 100 at the final. Who told you to kill each other again? I DON'T THINK I DID?"

Some of them didn't know what to say. While some actually tried to look for the masked Paragon who instigated the bloodbath.

Regardless, the Arcadian who ranted suddenly became quiet as he knew Sonaya wasn't at fault. Sonaya walked away from the man and continued walked toward the others.

"We never recommended you to kill each other! There's even a penalty! Killing another participant will only yield 50 points compared to actually killing the wolf! COOPERATION IS EVEN 100% ALLOWED! You should've helped each other. But instead, you ravages started killing each other."

It was quiet. Her swords were striking their hearts. Why didn't we think of helping each other? We're we really that kind of people? It was quiet.

The Zodiac Mage suddenly began clapping.

CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!

"Alright! Alright! But I suggest you really start congratulating yourselves right now because it will be harder on ROUND 2, ROUND 3, and ROUND 4. To make you feel better, look at this."
