SWING! SLASH! CLANG!
"You're not gonna hit me that way."
Yokai Slayer attempted to hit Chaos Revenant a lot of times, but he couldn't as Revenant kept on phasing through the ground.
PAK!
It even became a problem because Revenant has been throwing him some items at Slayer from the ground. But Slayer can't even hit him.
"You're a Battalion Commander, and you can't hit me? Funny!"
"But, you can't kill me either by throwing shit like this burnt slippers."
"Yeah, because I'm doing this..."
A metal pole suddenly emerged from the ground, going at Slayer. He managed to dodge, but he noticed there was a paper bomb attached to it.
BOOM!
Yokai Slayer managed to dodge by jumping away.
"What?!"
But upon stepping on the ground, the floor suddenly crumbled, and he fell down to a trench. Chaos Revenant emerged at the top, smiling down on him.
"I saw this trench earlier. I thought I might've used it in the future, but I didn't know it was you. Good luck!"
PAK!
Revenant kicked the soft soil, and it started crumbling, filling up the trench and burying the Slayer alive.
"Okay, now let's stand up here."
Revenant stood up beside a wooden wall of a burning house.
[Inventory]
He took out a roll of a blanket and dropped it in front of him.
KABOOM!
Just like what Revenant expected, the Slayer emerged from the rubble. He looked around and saw Revenant standing beside a wooden wall. Slayer dashed forward and sliced Revenant from a safe distance instead.

Revenant took the blanket roll and glitched through the wooded wall.
SLASH!
The wind scythe that formed from Slayer's attack slashed the burning house in half. But suddenly, it started creaking and eventually fell on top of Slayer. Revenant purposely stood on it as he knew it was about to crash.
KABOOM!
The place exploded, and a flaming monster ten times Slayer's size suddenly appeared.
"I had enough of your tricks, Revenant!"
"Finally, you've shown your real form!"
Yokai is a type of demon in Japanese myths. Therefore, being a Yokai Slayer is also meant as Demon Slayer. But who would've thought that the Demon Slayer himself was also a Demon?
The Slayer slammed his massive arms at the floor, and it started exploding underground. This forced Revenant to return back to the surface.
"Now fight me properly, Kang Joon!"

Revenant only smiled and pulled out some silverwares he took from the burning houses while phasing through the ground.
