"Monsieur Ellemune, what should we do now? Leonordius is still on the run?" Councilor Ester asked.

The Nobles' plan was simple. Just wait for the Synderiums to fight each other, and when no one was left, they would take over the Empire as its new rulers. They even requested support from the Empire's Rival Kingdom, the Sunfire Kingdom.

However, they became anxious as the Synderiums never actually fought each other.

They expected Leonordius to hunt down his sisters since he became the de facto ruler. But he immediately escaped with his mother, therefore leaving the throne empty.

The nobles also expected Rashina to execute Morgana upon her capture, but she just incarcerated her. If ever Rashina captured the capital, they would just retake it from her, as she was an illegal child. But even this plan was foiled as she was suddenly missing.

Recruiting the GM15 Guild and Braden Zorn also fell through. Since nothing was going in their way, they held a conference to discuss their future plans.

A Nobleman prompted,

"Let's just attack Rashina's forces now and save Morgana. That's the only way we can save face. Even if they blame us for attacking the GM15 Guild and Zorn, at least we can use this as an excuse for our repentance."

But Councilor Ester disapproved.

"We can't do that. The Sunfires are currently residing in the Darkin Kingdom. Attacking the Kingdom would mean we just renounced our alliance with them!"

"We have to pick a side. Either we betray them and join the Empire, or we join forces with the Sunfires and fight the entire Empire. But how sure are we that the Sunfires can win? Rashina has always placed them in a stalemate for more than a decade. What more if it's the entire Kingdom?!?!"

Nobleman Kit Ellemune suddenly thought of something.

"What if we just sit this through."

The room became quiet as everyone was confused. But Ester was fascinated at the idea.

"Right! If the Sunfires win, they're still our allies if we sit this through. If the Synderiums win, we still have the case of Morgana killing their father. Then we can still let Leonordius and Morgana fight with each other."

But Ester noticed Ellemune's face turned pale.

"W-What's wrong?"

"M-Morgana killed her father, right?"

"Y-Yes. Of course."

But Ester felt the doubts from his response, which prompted him to grab Ellemune's coat.

Multiple virtual panels opened up around the room, showing different locations of the capital being attacked. It was already too late. The GM15 Guild had already infiltrated and surrounded them.
