Birthday

Luca's POV- it's April 23rd, but it's not only a date it's my boyfriend's birthday too! it's been a couple of years since we came to the manor and every birthday he's had I feel like hasn't been as special, so for this year I want to make sure Edgar has the best birthday of his life. I knew Edgar didn't like being around a whole lot of people so I decided to only hold him a small party with me and him, Emma insisted on holding him a huge party like everyone else had so she's holding him a separate party.

If I had to guess knowing Edgar he will probably slip out when people aren't looking and that would be my chance. I decided to set some stuff up behind the manor in a clearing they have. There's a small picnic bench and water fountain surrounded by trees. It's more private so it seemed like the perfect place, I was getting a bit overwhelmed with planning inside my head so I broke out my "book of science" and started jotting down notes and ideas. As an inventor the least of my worries was making everything, plus I have Tracy and her friend Annie. They both make things and would be more than happy to help out. After finishing the blue prints on what I wanted to do, I met up with Tracy and Annie to make the things and get everything prepared.

Edgar's POV- It's April 23rd... huh I thought while rubbing my eyes while sitting up in my bed, to me today isn't that special it's just another day and I wish people would treat it like that. I remember the time when my family made me paint on my birthday, and at my "party" they sold my work without even asking.It turns out my party was really just a chance for them to do their bidding. That's not the only reason I don't like birthdays though. I sighed as I got out of my covers, I know Emma was planning something big but I really just want to be with Luca. Wait a minute... speaking of Luca where is he...? me and him sleep together but he's not here... I looked at my nightstand to find a note. "Sorry I had to go Eddie! Happy birthday ily! See you soon! - Lu'' I read aloud what the letter said. I wonder what he's doing. I got up and walked towards my door. When I opened it, Emma was there and popped a confetti thing and dragged me out with her, today was gonna be a long day...

Luca's POV- everything was coming together perfectly, Tracy and Annie had just finished setting up the last thing for me. I do admit I feel a bit bad for not talking to Edgar today but I'll see him soon enough. I thanked Annie and Tracy for their help before they left and then I proceeded to get ready for the party myself. Edgar was going to be wearing his golden radio costume and I got a costume similar to match his. After getting dressed I waited for the party to start.

Edgar's POV- I got ready for the party but still no Luca, it worried me that I haven't heard from him all day... Normally Luca is attached to me by my hip; he's super clingy. I asked around but everyone else said they haven't seen him today, I even asked Tracy his best friend and she told me she hadn't. I sighed before fixing my hair one last time in the mirror before heading out to my birthday party. It was going to be held in the ballroom downstairs, so I began to head that way.

3rd person- Edgar walked down the long hallway, each step he took was filled with worries and reluctance-he didn't wanna go to the party but if he didn't then he might miss his chance to see Luca. He kept going only to see Luca, when he arrived everyone came out of their hiding spots and popped confetti poppers, it made Edgar jump and step back even though he knew it was coming. Edgar put on his best smile, while looking around for Luca when he didn't see him he felt his heart begin to sink. Is he ignoring me... Edgar thought, despite being worried he tried to hide his worries from the rest of his friends to make sure they all had a good time. About an hour into the party Edgar felt himself getting a lump in his throat and when no one was looking he sneaked out the back door to get some air.

Edgar's POV- I went outside to get some air, today has been overwhelming and I need a break. I decided to go for a walk, the door I left out leads to the trail out back. I took some deep breaths while I walked, but I stopped and took in the scenery for a minute. Tonight really was beautiful out. I was gazing into the beautiful stars above when I felt someone slip their hands around my waist, I turned around alarmed to be faced with... "LUCA"I screamed .

I gripped onto him as hard as I could, I missed him but I also wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing things. He hugged me back, and that's when I confronted him.

"Lu where have you been all day..." I whined

"Well about that, you'll see" he told me

I turned my head at him, "here put this on" he told me while taking out a blindfold from his pocket and handing it to me. I reluctantly put it on, I felt Lucas' hands move from around my waist to my hands, "watch your step okay! I'll be here to catch you tho if you do trip! I'm your knight in shining armor" I could tell he was being cocky again I rolled my eyes and grabbed onto his hands.

After walking for what felt like hours we finally came to a stop, I felt Luca's grip loosen and then he let go of my hand before going behind me and removing my blindfold. Everything was... beautiful... there was a picnic table set up with some stuff and some fairy lights around the area, it wasn't anything big but it was just how I would have liked something to go, I turned around tears now forming in the corner of my eyes.

"Thank you Lu... this means the world to me!" I confessed

"Don't thank me Eddie! I know your not fond of birthdays especially yours so I thought I would try to make today extra special for you! Sorry for avoiding you the whole day I really just wanted to make this perfect!" Luca told me

"No! I understand now" I said while wrapping my hands around him and pulling him into a embrace, it was not as effective as I hoped since he was much taller but I tried.

"I have a couple of gifts for you!" Luca stated

"Lu you didn't have to!" I told him

"But I wanted to!!!" He told me while grabbing my hand and setting me down on the bench.

He handed me a beautiful necklace that he made that had a lock and key that opened mechanically when the key was put in. The gears would turn and it would open and play a small song and it had a picture of me and him in it.

"LU-" I cried

"AWH I'm glad you like it"

"But wait...I have one more gift though" Luca told me

I tilted my head, but I had an idea where this was going, he grabbed my face and I wrapped my arms around him. We shared a kiss and Luca then told me "I love you... happy birthday love".
